Prime Minister Turtle was in a very complicated mood.
When he swallowed that bite of hamburger, he had done so with the determination of someone ready to die.
But he didn’t die. Worse still—he was shamelessly moved by how good it tasted.
It was only a little crab roe and meat gravy smeared on the edges, yet that tiny bit of leftover flavor was so delicious that the Prime Minister wanted to throw all the food of the sea into the trash.
If he had known human food was this good, what had they been stubborn about all this time?
He should have long since advised the King to reconcile with humans.
“Boss, I’ll have a bowl of snail noodles and a hamburger.”
He hadn’t even tried the snail noodles yet, but just watching the prince alternate between slurping noodles and biting into a hamburger—struggling in agony over which one to prioritize—was enough to tell him there must be something incredible inside.
Besides, up until now, the prince was still alive and well—and still eating.
A faint crab-roe taste lingered in his mouth. The Prime Minister’s round head swayed as he reached into the shell on his back and pulled out a large pile of spirit stones.
“Is this enough?”
“Yes, that’s enough. These spirit stones can get you three sets. Anyone else want to try?”
The outcome didn’t surprise Lu Wu in the slightest.
Once these foods entered the mouth, no one wanted to spit them out.
“Ahem, I’ll try too.”
Doctor Shark walked over, forcing a friendly smile—though his shark-fin-shaped hairstyle made him look far too intimidating.
Lu Wu didn’t dare look at him too much.
“Prime Minister, Doctor Shark, how could you do this?”
In the blink of an eye, two of the sea clan’s key figures had defected. The crab maid could not accept it.
She pushed past the others and strode up to the stall, shouting loudly.
“I want to eat too!”
Why was she being excluded?
So many of her descendants had died already—was she still not allowed to have a bite of the crab roe burger?
Lu Wu glanced at the crab maid.
What a pretty girl… shame she had crab claws for arms.
“Alright, just a moment please.”
The crab roe burger given to Dragon Zhang didn’t count toward the mission progress since it was a freebie.
Fortunately, progress had now jumped by three.
Bright future ahead.
Lu Wu worked with both hands at once, making crab roe burgers and snail noodles simultaneously.
The workload was heavy, but seeing the customers’ eager eyes made her feel that a little hardship was nothing.
For a moment she even wondered if this world had Nezha’s relatives—she could really use three heads and six arms.
Shovels flew, ladles swept.
Two completely different aromas exploded across the stall.
When the “tool people” arrived, what they saw were sea clan members obediently lining up, stretching their necks to inhale the mixed scent of food.
After the Prime Minister and others set an example, the rest of the sea clan, driven by curiosity, also decided to try.
As for Dragon Zhang—
He was still head down, furiously eating, completely ignoring the human cultivators who had appeared.
Peace talks or whatever—he’d deal with them after he was full.
“Gurgle…”
A chorus of stomach growls sounded.
The human cultivators looked away awkwardly.
The imagined scene of a massive battle never happened. Instead, it looked like a gathering of starving ghosts.
Seeing that the sea clan ignored them, Qin Zhan and the others relaxed.
He swaggered over and queued behind the sea clan. Under their suspicious gazes, he said calmly:
“Brothers, let’s cease fire. Everything can wait until after we eat.”
He had been waiting all morning—he was starving.
“Fine.”
The sea clan was surprisingly easygoing.
One of them even took his snail noodles and crab burger, walked a full circle in front of the humans on purpose, then sat down while enduring their glares.
The sea clan scored a point.
Lu Wu felt even more relaxed seeing familiar faces arrive.
“Boss Lu, can I only buy the crab roe burger?”
Jiang Yunhe stood at the side of the stall, rarely making a request.
Unlike Qin Zhan, he wasn’t talkative, nor did he act spoiled like Zhang Yue or Dan Han-zhi.
He was usually the silent type—quietly eating, quietly working.
But as a clean freak, just thinking about the smell of snail noodles lingering on him made him hesitate.
“Of course.”
Lu Wu nodded readily. She would never force customers to buy a set meal.
It’s just mission progress—she didn’t care at all.
Hmph.
As she muttered internally, Jiang Yunhe suddenly shivered.
Not good. His status as “tool person number three” was in danger.
“Ahem… Boss Lu, I’ve decided I’ll take both.”
Compared to being “abandoned,” a bit of smell was nothing he couldn’t endure.
And soon, he was glad he made that decision.
With the mindset of “since I bought it, I might as well try it,” he followed others and slurped the noodles.
One bite—and he couldn’t stop.
The smell might be unpleasant, but the taste easily ranked in the top three among all of Lu Wu’s dishes.
His movements sped up, chopsticks almost leaving afterimages.
Most human cultivators were the same—sounds of slurping filled the air as chopsticks moved like shadows.
On the sea clan side, however, they were much slower since they weren’t skilled with chopsticks.
Especially Dragon Zhang.
Watching his noodles slip repeatedly from the chopsticks, his eyes turned red.
Didn’t he see humans already lining up for seconds? As the first customer, he still hadn’t finished—this was disrespectful to food!
He looked around.
Everyone was focused on eating. No one was paying attention to him.
Then—
His robe shifted, and pink tentacles emerged one after another.
He wiped them clean with a cloth, then grinned.
The tentacles plunged into the bowl, rolling up noodles and bringing them to his mouth.
Efficient. Clearly not his first time doing this.
No chopsticks? No problem—he had more limbs than most.
Eight tentacles worked in perfect coordination: some rolled noodles, some picked peanuts, others wrapped crab burgers.
All the food lined up before him. All he had to do was open his mouth.
A flurry of chaotic movement later, he finally finished the meal.
But he wasn’t full.
His clothes were splattered with soup, his hair disheveled, and two white dragon horns quietly peeked out to observe the world.
Wiping his mouth with a tentacle, he turned in satisfaction—and met Lu Wu’s unusually sparkling eyes.
Octopus and little dragon man.
SpongeBob and Nezha crossover action figures.
Living ones.
Lu Wu quickly dismissed the thought—she didn’t want to pay copyright fees.
“Another set meal, right? One moment.”
Business continued.
The once-empty beach had become lively with the arrival of sea clan and humans.
They slurped noodles, bit burgers, and even occasionally exchanged friendly interactions across species.
Peaceful.
A crisis had been dissolved.
Using food to tempt the sea clan, to hook them, to make them unable to leave—
This was Boss Lu’s wisdom.
Small sea clan? Handled.
Watching the sea clan abandon hostility and enjoy themselves, Cang and Guang knew there was no chance for them to act anymore.
But leaving?
Impossible.
They were staying—for more snail noodles and “Old Eight” burgers.
