CMWKSD -Chapter 4 Killing Without Going Too Far

Chief Minister: My Wife Who Kills at the Slightest Disagreement7 min read4 of 300

Ji Dajiang walked in from outside the courtyard. At a glance, he saw his mother and his second brother. Without saying anything, he turned around and went straight into the room where Jiu Yue and Ji Yiqing were.

Hu Chunhua was startled. “Third son, what are you going in there for?”

Ji Dajiang turned his head and shot Hu Chunhua a gloomy look. Ji Dahu tugged at Hu Chunhua’s arm. Both mother and son knew exactly what kind of filthy thoughts Ji Dajiang harbored.

He was utterly useless, yet lusted after women. He had once verbally harassed women and young girls in the village and was beaten so badly that one of his ears was left deaf.

The moment Hu Chunhua saw Ji Dajiang enter Ji Yiqing’s room, she knew what he was thinking of doing.

To be fair, Jiu Yue really was strikingly good-looking. After all, she was willing to spend money on skincare for her face—products formulated from ancient prescriptions, where even a tiny 5ml bottle could cost tens of thousands.

Ji Dahu dragged Hu Chunhua out of the doorway. Hu Chunhua glanced at Ji Yiqing, who was still lying beside Jiu Yue. If you talked about conscience—she had none.

She only muttered a couple of words: “Then be quick about it. Don’t let your eldest brother catch you when he comes back.” As she spoke, she even reached out and shut the door.

Ji Dajiang tugged at his waistband. “So what if he sees?”

Anyway, no one in this family ever took Ji Dahai seriously. Back when Ji Chaomian and Ji Yiqing were still fine, they wouldn’t dare go too far. But now that both brothers were crippled, wouldn’t it just be like when they were kids—left to be bullied and tormented as they pleased?

The room fell quiet. Jiu Yue even heard the sound of someone swallowing saliva, and she was wondering what new trick he was about to pull—

When she suddenly felt someone grope her hand.

In an instant, a surge of fury shot straight to Jiu Yue’s head. Damn it! He dared to touch her hand with his filthy pig’s hoof—her hand that she had spent millions maintaining! He was dead. He could only die.

Ji Yiqing hadn’t expected Ji Dajiang to be so lust-driven and so utterly shameless. He was lying right there beside her, and Ji Dajiang still dared to do this to his wife!

He snapped his eyes open, about to teach Ji Dajiang a lesson—when a loud bang sounded by his ear.

Looking over, he only saw Ji Dajiang slam into the wall, then slide down to the floor like a pile of rotten mud.

Meanwhile, Jiu Yue, who had been lying beside him, slowly sat up. She cast him a sidelong glance, seeming not the least bit curious about the fact that he had opened his eyes.

She calmly got out of bed.

Ji Dajiang wriggled on the ground a few times, probably unable to understand how he had suddenly been sent flying.

Ji Yiqing hadn’t seen it either. He only knew that with a whoosh, Ji Dajiang had ended up against the wall.

Jiu Yue stood by the bed, dressed in a strange, all-black outfit that accentuated her well-proportioned figure even more. The moment her feet touched the ground, it was as though she had stepped directly on his heart.

She walked over to Ji Dajiang at an unhurried pace, squatted down, and looked at him from above. “Which hand touched me?”

Ji Dajiang’s eyes were bloodshot. The moment he opened his mouth, a thread of blood spilled out. “Bitch! Bitch! You dare hit me! You’re courting death!”

Jiu Yue smiled slowly and tilted her head. “Oh, so both hands touched me.”

Ji Dajiang hadn’t even processed what she meant when he saw Jiu Yue place both hands on his wrists. The next moment, there were two crisp crack sounds.

A tearing, soul-rending pain exploded from his wrists. Ji Dajiang opened his mouth to scream, but Jiu Yue swiftly pulled a silver needle from her pant leg and stabbed it hard behind his ear.

All his screams turned into muffled whimpers. Ji Dajiang gaped his mouth, ah, ah, ah—only to realize he couldn’t make a sound at all.

“Shh. I can’t stand hearing pigs squeal.” As she spoke, Jiu Yue’s gaze slowly drifted downward. “Since you don’t know how to use your tool properly, then I can only legally destroy your tool.”

Ji Dajiang stared at her in terror. Jiu Yue stood up and lightly ground her foot down with just the tip of her toe. Ji Yiqing, sitting on the bed, instinctively clamped his legs together.

Ji Dajiang writhed and curled up on the ground in agony, drenched in sweat. His head lolled to the side, and he passed out.

Jiu Yue kicked him lightly and clicked her tongue. “Tsk. Already out?” She hadn’t even had enough fun yet. How dare he touch her with his filthy pig’s hoof—didn’t he ever consider the consequences?

With one problem dealt with, Jiu Yue turned around and met Ji Yiqing’s gaze. She hooked her toe around the long bench at the foot of the bed, dragged it closer, and sat down sideways.

She stared straight at Ji Yiqing. Lying down and sitting up really did give two completely different impressions. Anyway, aside from the scar on his face, the man looked like a top-grade specimen no matter how you viewed him.

As long as he was clean, sleeping with him wouldn’t be a problem—Jiu Yue thought to herself.

Besides, this wasn’t a place she was familiar with. She needed some cover for her identity, and figuring out how to survive here was another issue altogether.

Maybe it was a bit of a “first-impression attachment.” The Ji family and everything about them were the first people and events she encountered after coming here. Jiu Yue decided she might as well see for now whether the Ji family was suitable to stay with.

Her gaze swept over Ji Yiqing without the slightest attempt at concealment. Ji Yiqing inexplicably felt as though he’d been stripped bare, yet he still tried to meet her eyes calmly.

Jiu Yue rubbed her nose. She wasn’t used to transmigrating, and even less used to being married. After thinking for a moment, she spoke softly, “Hu… husband?”

In ancient times, was “husband” called xiang gong? Or guan ren? Or fu jun?

Whatever—she was calling him xiang gong!

Ji Yiqing’s eyes widened. He couldn’t understand how the woman who had just acted with such ruthless decisiveness could turn around and call him “husband” the next moment. His peripheral vision swept over the marriage contract on the bedside table.

Oh right—they already had a marriage contract. They were already married. Did that mean she acknowledged him as her husband? It felt a bit… hasty.

Ji Yiqing fell silent for a moment. But since she acknowledged it, he would too.

He lowered his gaze and responded with a quiet “Mm.” The moment he did, his entire face flushed red like a tomato.

Jiu Yue found it fascinating. Though he wasn’t pale, he wasn’t dark either—his skin was a healthy wheat color. Now it was flushed red beneath that wheat tone, making the scar on his face stand out even more starkly.

But Jiu Yue, who had seen all kinds of rotting flesh and gore, felt absolutely nothing about it.

“Have you ever had another woman? Or someone you liked?” Jiu Yue felt this needed to be clarified. If he had some white moonlight or childhood sweetheart, then he wouldn’t do—she’d rather throw him away than dirty her hands.

In Jiu Yue’s worldview, once something was hers, it had to belong completely to her. She could be the one to discard it—but otherwise, it had to belong to her forever, body and soul.

Ji Yiqing didn’t know why Jiu Yue suddenly brought this up, but he answered honestly, shaking his head. “No. I’ve never had any involvement with women.”

Jiu Yue nodded. “That’s good.” After a pause, she added, “You know we’re considered married now, right?”

Ji Yiqing nodded.

Jiu Yue continued, “Since we’re married, you’re not allowed to have other women in the future. Whether it’s visiting brothels, taking concubines, or keeping mistresses—none of that is acceptable to me. If I ever find out…” She glanced at Ji Dajiang, who was lying unconscious on the floor, subtly making her bottom line clear.

Ji Yiqing tilted his head and thought for a moment. “That’s only proper.”

His face was ruined; he couldn’t enter officialdom. In the future, he’d probably make a living farming. Having one wife was already a blessing—what more could he ask for?

Of course, even back when he studied and planned to take the imperial exams, he had never given much thought to matters between men and women.
