Night fell once again.

Gu Xuan had cried himself exhausted—and hungry. He watched helplessly as Jiang Suisui and Chunxing finished their dinner—a pot of wild vegetable porridge slightly thicker than the one at noon. From beginning to end, no one called him.

That wicked woman truly meant what she said.

He was completely despairing now. Dragging his utterly worn-out body back to the dilapidated hut, he no longer had the strength even to cry. He simply curled up in the straw, letting hunger and exhaustion swallow him whole.

After washing up briefly, Jiang Suisui also felt the strain in her body. Though she had a habit of exercising, a full day of high-intensity physical labor was still a heavy burden for this once-pampered body. Her muscles ached; even her bones felt weary.

At this rate, she would collapse before the land was fully reclaimed. She had to improve efficiency and change the current situation.

Food and water were the key.

The well in the estate was nearly dry. The water drawn up was murky and could only barely be used after settling. For someone versed in modern agriculture, this was unacceptable. She decided to take another look at the well.

“Madam, it’s already dark. You’re still going out?” Chunxing asked worriedly.

“I’ll check the well,” Jiang Suisui replied, picking up a burning stick as a torch. “Keep an eye on him. Don’t let him wander off.”

Chunxing nodded, watching anxiously as Jiang Suisui disappeared into the night.

The stone platform around the well was slick with moss. Holding up the torch, Jiang Suisui leaned over the edge to look down. The well wasn’t deep; only a shallow layer of water remained at the bottom, with a few dead leaves and debris floating on the surface. The inner walls were cracked and clearly long neglected—the water source had almost completely dried up.

Repairing it would be a major undertaking.

She sighed and decided to clear some of the vines tangled around the rim first. Crouching down, she reached for a tough vine lodged in a crack in the stone.

It was stubbornly strong. As she tugged hard, the old bracelet on her wrist—something the original owner had worn since marriage—accidentally knocked against the rough stone edge.

Clink.

The bracelet was old-fashioned and dull gray, its material unremarkable. Jiang Suisui had never paid it much attention.

She didn’t think much of the knock and continued pulling the vine.

But then something strange happened.

A warmth suddenly spread from the spot on her wrist where it had struck. Immediately after, the dull gray bracelet began to emit a faint green glow!

Startled, Jiang Suisui raised her wrist.

At the point of impact, a small patch of the bracelet’s ashen outer layer had flaked away, revealing a section of translucent, emerald-green jade beneath. The glow was coming from there.

Before she could react, a powerful suction force burst forth from the bracelet!

Her vision blurred. The world spun. It felt as though she were being pulled into an invisible vortex. She instinctively shut her eyes.

When she opened them again, the sight before her left her utterly stunned.

She was no longer at the ruined estate or the desolate well platform.

She stood on a stretch of black soil so rich it seemed almost oily to the touch. Not far away, a spring bubbled continuously with crystal-clear water. The water gathered into a small stream that wound gently into the distance. Along the stream grew several fruit trees she had never seen before, their branches heavy with plump fruit.

And beyond the spring stood a small, elegant bamboo house with an ancient charm.

Where… was this place?

Wasn’t she just at the well? How had she suddenly arrived here?

Jiang Suisui pinched herself. It hurt. This wasn’t a dream.

Cautiously, she walked toward the spring. The closer she got, the stronger the fresh, sweet fragrance in the air became. She crouched down and scooped up a handful of the spring water. It felt cool in her palm, yet carried a gentle warmth, a subtle energy that seeped silently through her fingertips into her skin.

The exhaustion and soreness that had plagued her body vanished in an instant. It felt like filling an almost empty car with the highest-grade fuel—her entire body brimmed with strength.

Her heart began to pound wildly.

A thought flashed through her mind—something straight out of countless web novels: a hidden dimension! A cheat ability!

Could it be… this dull, inconspicuous old bracelet was actually a portable space?!

Suppressing her surge of excitement, she stood and carefully surveyed the small world. The land seemed to span about one mu. The spring was clearly the core of the space.

She walked to the bamboo house and pushed the door open. The interior was simple: a bamboo bed, a bamboo table, and—several shelves filled to the brim with seeds.

Each seed packet was wrapped in oiled paper, labeled in elegant script: “Purple Jade Rice,” “Golden Silk Wheat,” “Emerald Cabbage,” “Flame Pepper”… All were varieties she had never heard of, yet their names alone sounded extraordinary.

In one corner stood several brand-new farming tools—hoes, sickles, buckets—everything she could possibly need.

Her fingers trembled with excitement.

Heaven never seals off all exits!

Just as she had been worrying about how to survive and reclaim that barren land, fate had handed her an overpowered advantage beyond imagination.

With this fertile soil, these superior seeds, and most importantly, this miraculous spiritual spring—let alone feeding three people, even rebuilding an agricultural empire wouldn’t be impossible!

She paced around the space several times before gradually calming down. Now she needed to test how to enter and exit it. Focusing her thoughts, she silently willed, “Go out.”

Her vision blurred again. In the next moment, she was back beside the well. The torch still burned in her hand. The night breeze remained cool. Everything looked exactly as it had before she “left,” as if nothing had happened.

But the vivid streak of emerald revealed on her bracelet, and the powerful vitality surging through her body, told her it was all real.

She tried again in her mind: “Go in.”

Sure enough, the next second she stood once more inside the space.

Jiang Suisui finally felt completely at ease.

Looking at the land brimming with life, a light she had never known before shone in her eyes.

The Marquisate of Yongning? The old Marquis? The old Madam?

The mountains that had once weighed down on her shoulders now seemed utterly insignificant.

What she possessed now was a world that truly belonged to her.

She did not begin planting immediately; she knew the timing wasn’t right. Instead, she filled half a small bamboo bucket with the spring water. With a single thought, she and the bucket reappeared by the well.

Quietly, she poured the clear, sweet spiritual spring water into the half-dry well.

Though it was but a drop in the ocean, she believed that over time, with steady effort, the well—and this entire estate—would undergo earth-shaking change because of this water.

After finishing, she carried the empty bucket and walked back toward the dilapidated hut with light steps.

From this day forward, she was no longer the Marquis’s wife forced to endure humiliation and struggle to survive.

She was the true master of this land.
