After studying in front of the Inheritance Stone Wall for an entire day, night had already fallen by the time everyone reluctantly returned to the village.
After dinner, Jiang Suisui came alone once again to the side of the Spring of Life.
Moonlight flowed like water, spilling across the emerald surface of the pool and reflecting rippling waves of light. The glowing moss around the pool shone even brighter in the night, wrapping the entire spring source in a soft halo.
She gazed at the spring constantly surging in the center of the pool, recalling the description of the “Fruit of Life” on the stone wall.
“Pure blood as the catalyst, the essence of a hundred herbs as the supplement…”
She stretched out her finger, thought for a moment, and then took out a silver needle for blood sampling from the emergency kit she carried with her. After sterilizing it with strong liquor, she gently pricked the tip of her finger.
A bright, full drop of blood seeped out.
She let the drop of blood fall into the pool before her.
When the blood entered the water, it did not disperse like ordinary blood. Instead, it kept its rounded shape as it slowly sank downward, eventually falling precisely into the spring source at the center of the pool.
The moment the drop of blood merged into the spring, Jiang Suisui’s consciousness was once again pulled by a powerful force into her personal space.
However, the sight before her left her so shocked that she could not speak.
This was no longer the space she was familiar with.
What had originally been only a few acres of land, small enough to see at a glance, had now turned into a vast and boundless real world.
Beneath her feet stretched fertile black soil as far as the eye could see. In the distance were rolling green mountains, shrouded in drifting mist. A clear river originated from the mountains, winding through the vast plains before finally flowing into a massive shimmering lake.
The water in that lake was pure spiritual spring water.
On the grasslands by the lake, at the edges of forests, and deep within the valleys, countless rare medicinal herbs—ones she had only seen on the Inheritance Stone Wall—had automatically grown. Plant after plant emitted strange glimmers of light, glowing softly in the night.
The sky above was pale blue with a few leisurely white clouds drifting across it. She could even feel a gentle breeze blowing through this world.
“This… this is my space?” Jiang Suisui could hardly believe her eyes.
After she had acknowledged ownership with her blood, her space had undergone a heaven-shaking transformation. It was no longer just a simple storage and planting area—it had truly evolved into a miniature world within a mustard seed.
With a single thought, her body appeared atop a distant mountain peak. With another thought, she arrived beside the newly formed lake.
In this world, she was an omnipotent god. She could appear at any corner at will and command every blade of grass and every tree.
She walked to the lakeside and scooped up a handful of water. The life energy contained within it was more than ten times richer than before. She even felt that a single sip could instantly restore vitality to someone on the verge of death.
Then her gaze was drawn to something at the center of the lake.
At the very middle of the lake stood a small island.
There were no other plants on the island—only a small tree about a foot tall, crystal-clear like jade.
At the tip of its branches hung a fruit the size of a fist, radiating seven-colored light. The fruit was translucent, as if condensed from the purest light itself. An indescribably vast aura of life emanated from it, spreading throughout the entire space.
“The Fruit of Life…” Jiang Suisui’s heartbeat skipped.
With a single step, she appeared on the island in the middle of the lake. She stretched out her hand, wanting to touch the fruit—but stopped midway in the air.
She could sense that although the fruit had already taken shape, it had not yet fully matured. It was still continuously absorbing the spiritual energy of the entire space, undergoing its final transformation.
She recalled the record on the stone wall.
“Pure blood as the catalyst…”
Her blood, which had served as the key to open the space, was undoubtedly the best catalyst.
“The essence of a hundred herbs as the supplement…”
This newly born space was filled everywhere with heavenly treasures and rare medicinal herbs. The essence of countless precious plants had all gathered within the spiritual spring lake.
Could it be that the Fruit of Life had actually been nurtured ahead of time within her own space?
Suppressing the excitement in her heart, she carefully observed the small tree and its fruit. She noticed that the soil around the roots of the tree was darker than elsewhere, as if it contained stronger energy.
She tried communicating with the small tree using her consciousness.
A vague yet joyful emotion came from the tree. It seemed extremely happy about Jiang Suisui’s arrival.
A sudden realization dawned on her.
She sat cross-legged beside the small tree and gently placed her hand on the soil beneath it. Then she mobilized the power within her body—the same power that originated from this space—and slowly infused it into the soil.
As her energy flowed in, she saw the seven-colored light radiating from the Fruit of Life become slightly brighter.
Although the process was slow, it was indeed effective.
Her power could accelerate the fruit’s maturation.
This discovery filled Jiang Suisui with overwhelming joy. It meant that the curse on the Guardian Clan might be completely resolved within a short period of time.
She didn’t know how long she had stayed in the space until she finally withdrew when she felt her mental energy becoming somewhat exhausted.
When she opened her eyes again, the sky in the east was already turning pale with the light of dawn.
At some point, Gu Yan had come to her side. He sat quietly next to her and had draped a thick coat over her shoulders.
“You’re awake,” Gu Yan said, his voice carrying a trace of concern that was hard to notice.
“Mm.” Jiang Suisui turned her head and looked at his sharply defined profile. In the morning light, it appeared especially gentle.
She leaned against his shoulder and softly said, “I think I’ve found a way to save them.”
Gu Yan didn’t ask what the method was. He simply wrapped his arm around her a little tighter.
“No matter what you do, I’ll be with you.”
Jiang Suisui closed her eyes peacefully in his embrace. She knew that with this upgraded space—and with this man who would always support her—no matter what difficulties awaited in the future, she had the confidence to face them.
Just as she was about to enter the space again to continue her research, the prophecy about the “strike of wind and thunder” suddenly flashed through her mind.
Her heart trembled.
She suddenly realized a problem she had overlooked.
This space was too extraordinary, and the Fruit of Life too miraculous. If outsiders—especially ambitious people holding great power—were to learn about it…
What it would bring might not be rebirth, but a storm of bloodshed sweeping across the world.
A common man is not guilty, but possessing a priceless treasure makes him guilty.
This secret must be protected forever.
