“Isn’t there paper over there?”
“Just tear some off, roll it up, and stuff it in your nose.”
Feng Jingge thought it made sense and nodded. “Alright.”
“Then go get it done.”
“Okay.”
Qing Shan walked over and picked up the paper.
Seeing that Feng Jingge hadn’t mentioned her, Xi Liyue timidly spoke up. “Miss, what about me?”
Feng Jingge replied indifferently, “You don’t need it.”
“Oh…”
Xi Liyue wanted to say, If I don’t block my nose, won’t I be stunk to death? but Qing Shan had already handed the rolled-up paper to Feng Jingge.
“Princess Consort, yours first.”
Feng Jingge took it and thanked him.
Qing Shan scratched his head awkwardly and said it was nothing.
Then he turned and prepared one for Prince Yu as well.
Only after that did he make one for himself.
Just as the three of them had stuffed their noses, the steward returned carrying a chamber pot.
The steward was even more exaggerated than them.
He had cloth stuffed into both nostrils and was breathing through his mouth.
The moment the chamber pot entered the room, the stench spread instantly.
Xi Liyue’s face turned pale as she gagged immediately.
She wanted to run out, but Feng Jingge’s voice sent her straight into despair.
“Bring the chamber pot over to Miss Yue.”
Xi Liyue looked at her in horror.
The steward quickly carried it over.
The stench rushed straight into her nose, making her stomach churn violently.
She wanted to vomit—but couldn’t.
She tried to speak and tell them to move it away, but realized she couldn’t make a sound at all.
Panic and fear overwhelmed her instantly.
Feng Jingge observed all of this closely and noticed her inability to speak.
“Don’t panic. Don’t rush.”
“Just throw it all up, and you’ll be able to speak again.”
Feng Jingge’s words were like a lifeline in her panic.
Xi Liyue already felt nauseated, her stomach twisting painfully.
But she just couldn’t vomit.
It felt like something was stuck in her throat.
She was in so much pain she could barely breathe.
Feng Jingge pressed her lips together, stepped beside her, and placed both hands behind her back.
She pressed along both sides of her spine and suddenly pulled upward with force.
“Ugh—!”
Xi Liyue immediately vomited.
A wave of rotten stench exploded through the room.
The chamber pot already smelled bad enough—but no one expected her vomit to be even worse. The rotting stench instantly overwhelmed everything, filling the entire room.
Paper stuffed in noses was no longer enough to block it.
Prince Yu and Qing Shan turned pale and rushed outside, covering their mouths.
Even Feng Jingge couldn’t hold it.
But Xi Liyue wasn’t done vomiting, so she couldn’t leave.
The poison could only be neutralized once everything in her stomach was expelled.
As expected, she stopped briefly—then started again.
Feng Jingge was already seeing stars from the smell and nearly passed out.
After a full cup of tea’s time, the room was in complete chaos, filled with a suffocating stench.
Finally, Xi Liyue stopped vomiting.
Feng Jingge checked her pulse again.
This time, there was no pain reaction. Her pulse was stable.
The poison was finally gone.
Feng Jingge bit her lip and said, “The poison has been neutralized. I’ll help you out.”
Xi Liyue was extremely weak and nodded faintly.
But the moment she tried to stand, her legs gave out and she nearly collapsed forward.
Feng Jingge quickly pulled her back, saving her from falling into the vomit.
“Th-thank you…”
Feng Jingge supported her and struggled to carry her out.
With every step, her legs trembled violently.
After a dozen steps, she couldn’t hold on any longer and shouted outside:
“Qing Shan, come help!”
Qing Shan turned—and saw Feng Jingge carrying Xi Liyue out.
His heart jumped.
If the Prince saw this, he would probably skin him alive.
Just as he was about to rush over, a tall figure moved faster than him.
Whoosh—
Qing Shan froze.
A very bad feeling rose in his heart.
Prince Jinghan rushed into the room—and was immediately hit by a wave of unbearable stench.
So strong that he almost fainted on the spot.
He endured it, grabbed Feng Jingge, and carried Xi Liyue outside.
Once in the courtyard, he threw Xi Liyue toward Prince Yu.
Prince Yu didn’t want to catch her—but it was his uncle’s order.
He had no choice but to brace himself and catch her.
“Your Highness…”
Xi Liyue weakly called him.
Prince Yu said nothing.
Meanwhile, Prince Jinghan held Feng Jingge in his arms, his dark eyes fixed on her, brows tightly furrowed.
“You two blew up a cesspit?”
“Why is it so foul?”
“….”
Feng Jingge glared at him.
Just as she was about to retort, nausea surged again.
Her face changed instantly and she pushed him away.
“Ugh—!”
She rushed to the side and vomited everything she had eaten that morning.
By the end, she was even retching bile.
Prince Jinghan came behind her and gently patted her back.
“What happened?”
“Did you eat something bad?”
Before she could answer, Qing Shan handed her water.
“Princess Consort, rinse your mouth.”
After rinsing and drinking some water, she finally recovered a little.
“This isn’t food poisoning,” Feng Jingge said. “I was stunk into vomiting.”
“You smelled it too.”
As she spoke, the memory of the stench returned and she gagged again.
Prince Jinghan’s eyes turned even more worried.
“Should I call a physician?”
“No need.”
“Take me back to the residence. I’ll rest and recover…”
Before she could finish, her body suddenly lifted off the ground.
She was carried horizontally in his arms.
She instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
Prince Jinghan strode forward.
Prince Yu saw them leaving and quickly stepped forward.
“Uncle…”
Prince Jinghan stopped and looked at him coldly.
Prince Yu swallowed nervously.
“I… I just wanted to ask the Princess Consort a few questions.”
