I liked this novel, and I’d definitely recommend it! Would I reread it? No, but my first read was more than enjoyable. The concept is familiar—transmigration, overpowered ML, and a modern MC navigating an ancient world—but it still managed to hook me.
That said, logic? Yeah… that kinda got tossed out the window. 🫠 It felt like the author really wanted to emphasize that modern people are so much smarter than ancient ones, but honestly? Ancient people had their own ways of handling problems, and they weren’t dumb. Take MC’s disguise, for example—she didn’t even do the disguising! That was all the original character’s work, yet somehow, everyone was fooled forever, and ML had to dig so hard to uncover the truth. MC just sat back and reaped the benefits. 🤷♀️
Aside from that, everything else was great—especially the translation. The story was fun, the pacing was solid, and the dynamic between MC and ML kept things entertaining. But I do wish some parts and side characters were fleshed out more. ML and MC got all the attention, but what about ML’s parents? MC’s family? The emperor? The prince? Their stories barely got any development. And MC knew so much about the future, but she only used it when it was directly tied to the novel. What about literally anything else? 🤔
Anyway, despite those little gripes, I still think it’s worth reading. Just don’t expect deep world-building or airtight logic. If you’re in the mood for a fun, lighthearted transmigration novel, give it a shot! 🌟
