The premise itself is fantastic: a confident, intelligent, and gorgeous human FL working in an organization full of supernatural beings. 🧛♀️🦄 At first, I thought it might be a rebirth story, but no—it’s simply the epic life story of an extraordinary FL carving her path among monsters (or yaos, depending on the translation 😅). The workplace vibes were so fun and chaotic—I couldn’t help but wish I could join this wild “office” myself!
There were a few quirks in the translation, like inconsistencies in the use of “monsters” versus “yaos,” and some amusing gender mix-ups, especially with The Fish. 🐟 Oh, The Fish! I couldn’t stop laughing every time I imagined it bubbling away in all its comical glory.
As I read, I started picturing Gong Yoo as the ML and Kim Go-eun as the FL. 🧑🎤👩🎤 I have no idea why, but something about their personalities and interactions reminded me of the Goblin series. Maybe it was the ML’s adorable innocence and knack for thinking absolute nonsense, or the way the FL exuded strength and charm—it just felt like a perfect fit!
And let’s talk about the twist: the ML gets pregnant! 🤯 This was a first for me in any novel. The dynamic completely flipped, with the FL being the one who seemed more “manly” in the traditional sense. It was so quirky and unexpected, yet it worked beautifully within the story’s offbeat tone.
