Hey there, tea time crew! I just finished reading “Cannon Fodder Little Sister-in-law from the 1960s,” and I’ve got some mixed feelings about it. So, let’s dive in!
First things first, the story centers around Su Xi, who transmigrates into a book and becomes the troublesome sister-in-law of the villainous Big Boss. Sounds like a whirlwind, right? The original owner of the body was beautiful but brainless, and she took great pleasure in humiliating her gay brother, which ultimately led to his tragic end. Not exactly a winning personality.
Su Xi’s journey is quite the rollercoaster. From a killer and fighter in her past life, she transitions into a lover, mother, sister, granddaughter, and military doctor in this one. Quite the transformation, don’t you think? While I appreciate her growth, I couldn’t help but feel that she could have done more than just focus on marriage and kids. I mean, she definitely deserved some action-packed moments after all she went through.
Now, let’s talk about the love stories! Su Xi’s brother’s romance was handled beautifully, and it made me wonder if relationships like that truly existed back then. The kids in the story are cute and lovely, providing some heartwarming moments that tie everything together in the end. Su Xi’s business-minded approach is a nice touch too.
Overall, it’s a typical transmigrated story with face slapping, childcare, love, and a golden-fingered female lead. It’s perfect for a first-time read, but I don’t think I’ll be diving back into it anytime soon. What about you? Have you read it? What did you think?
