1. Be was already forced to drink the river water and was raped by the ml as soon as he transmigrated over (tbf the ml was drugged so can't really blame him for what happened) the mc knew he was probably pregnant with his child, also he didn't agree to the marriage, he would be married off whether he agreed or not due to the sister manipulating the story and his father.
2. He's not the only one tricking the Shen parent though, the ml is also not honest about what actually happened which led to the marriage, he could have told the actual story to his parents but he didn't because he wanted to marry the mc.
3. The mc is not invalid without the Shen family, he can hire someone to do the chores, and writing is not something exclusive to the ml and he can just hire someone. With his wit and experience, he could start a business and actually be more successful if he wasn't married (but this is just a strong IF statement)
4. The mc has defended the Shen family more times than I can count.
5. Why is it that him wanting to leave the Shen family considered as him "taking them for granted", he has never taken them for granted, he knows that they're kind, hence he helps them and defends them from any injustice. Just because they're kind doesn't make the mc's wishes automatically invalid or unreasonable.
6. I just don't understand how the mc wanting to live his own life considered selfish. Yes, he's not exactly perfect and he has his own shortcomings but he hasn't actually wronged the Shen family in any way.
7. Just because the ml loves him, doesn't make the mc obligated to love him back so easily. Mind you they barely knew eachother when they married.
at this point i feel like im forced to admit this either would have BE or abrupt ending,, i really dont like how mc is playing the shen's family. if he genuinely despise the marriage so much, he shouldn't have agreed since the beginning. yet he still take it because thats his only chance to leave the song family. or, not really. he already said since the beginning that he could just run away, so why didn't he? what is he trying to do, really? he's not gay, fine. then do something about it? why are you taking the shen family for granted? how could ml still foolishly fawning over him, i cant understand. at this point, i almost hope he actually split up from the shen family and see how wonderful his life gonna be without people who sincerely care for him. he might think he's used to it from his previous life. but really, you must be very arrogant if you think you can do it all by yourself later on. not to mention doing household chores, even writing you're still depending on ML. you wouldn't survive a month by yourself.
