After sending the message, Yin Siyao leaned back in his chair, looking exhausted, closing his eyes for a brief rest.

“Yaoyao…”

Leng Keyan murmured drowsily as he threw himself at Yin Siyao.

Like a large dog, he clung to him, rubbing his head into the crook of his neck. “You’re back… you smell so good.”

“Orange scent smells amazing… makes me want to take a bite…”

As he spoke, he lightly nipped at Yin Siyao’s neck.

“So sweet…”

His voice was still thick with sleep, soft and clingy.

Caught off guard, Yin Siyao staggered back a step but quickly wrapped his arms around him. “Careful. Why are you always so reckless? What if you fell?”

“Yaoyao…”

Leng Keyan kept nuzzling against him, sounding aggrieved. “Why did you come back so late? I waited so long…”

Seeing how sleepy he looked, Yin Siyao gently patted his back. “Didn’t I tell you to sleep early? Didn’t you sleep last night?”

“I did…”

“But not well…”

“Why?”

“Because I missed you. Couldn’t fall asleep.”

He said it so matter-of-factly, yet still sounding pitiful.

Yin Siyao sighed helplessly. “You really are something…”

“You wouldn’t let me go to the hospital to see you…” Leng Keyan mumbled against his chest.

“Your dark circles are practically hanging to the floor,” Yin Siyao said, pulling back to look at his exhausted face with concern. “Go wash up and have breakfast.”

Leng Keyan pouted, but obediently went to the bathroom.

Yin Siyao sat at the dining table and opened the breakfast bag.

The buns were still warm, and the soy milk was still hot.

He took out two bowls from the kitchen, poured the soy milk into cups, and placed the buns neatly on a plate.

By the time Leng Keyan finished washing up, breakfast was ready.

“Wow!”

His eyes lit up. “Pork buns! Yaoyao, you’re the best.”

He sat down and stuffed a bun into his mouth, cheeks puffing out as he ate.

Watching him wolf down the food, a faint smile tugged at Yin Siyao’s lips.

He picked up another bun and ate slowly.

Neither of them spoke, but the atmosphere was peaceful.

Sunlight streamed through the window—the sun had already risen.

After breakfast, Leng Keyan took the initiative to clean up.

By the time he finished washing the dishes and came out, Yin Siyao had already freshened up and was lying in bed.

He lay on his side, back facing the door, breathing slow and even.

Leng Keyan quietly walked over and crouched beside the bed.

Yin Siyao was sleeping deeply, his eyelashes casting soft shadows under his eyes.

His lips were slightly pursed, his brows relaxed.

All the seriousness and focus from work had faded, leaving him looking quiet and gentle.

Leng Keyan watched him for a long time before carefully climbing onto the bed and edging closer.

“Yaoyao…” he called softly.

No response.

“Teacher Yin…”

Still no response.

Growing bolder, he reached out to grab Yin Siyao’s hand and gently shook it. “Teacher Yin… can I take leave from my morning class?”

Yin Siyao’s eyelids twitched, but he didn’t open them.

“What class?”

His voice was thick with sleep.

“Final review class,” Leng Keyan hurriedly explained. “All subjects are finished, and finals are next week. It’s just self-study this morning, it doesn’t really matter if I go…”

“I promise I won’t fail.”

He shook Yin Siyao’s hand again, acting spoiled. “Teacher Yin, I’m so sleepy… I want to sleep a bit more…”

Finally, Yin Siyao forced his eyes open.

Turning his head, he looked at him.

His face clearly screamed “I want to slack off,” but the exhaustion in his eyes was real.

“What time does class start?”

“Eight…”

Yin Siyao glanced at the time. He was already late.

After a few seconds of silence, he reached out and pulled Leng Keyan into the warm blanket.

“Sleep.”

His voice was soft. “Sleep until you wake naturally. I’ll take you to a movie this afternoon.”

Leng Keyan’s eyes lit up instantly. “Really? I can skip the whole day?”

“Mm.”

Yin Siyao closed his eyes again. “Hurry up and sleep. Get some rest.”

Satisfied, Leng Keyan lay down beside him—but clearly wasn’t content with just lying there.

He turned over, wrapped his arms around Yin Siyao’s waist, and pressed his face against his back.

A few seconds later, he opened his eyes again and leaned in to kiss Yin Siyao’s cheek.

His tone turned sweet as honey. “Yaoyao is the best. I knew you love me the most.”

Yin Siyao didn’t respond, only pulling him a little closer.

Leng Keyan kissed him again.

Then a third time. A fourth.

Like a woodpecker, pecking all over his face and neck.

“Yaoyao…”

“Mm?”

“You really smell so good, I want to…”

Even though he was exhausted, Yin Siyao still patiently coaxed him, patting the hand around his waist. “Go to sleep. Be good.”

Seeing that Yin Siyao wasn’t angry, Leng Keyan became even more emboldened.

He leaned in and bit lightly at Yin Siyao’s soft lower lip.

“Leng Keyan,” Yin Siyao said, a hint of displeasure in his voice from the sting, “can you stop messing around?”

“I’m not messing around…”

Leng Keyan muttered softly, planting another kiss on his chin. “I just can’t help it… I want to kiss you…”

With his eyes still closed, Yin Siyao accurately pressed down on his restless head, pushing him back into his arms.

But Leng Keyan wasn’t the least bit intimidated. He lifted Yin Siyao’s shirt and immediately started sucking at his skin.

Yin Siyao’s body stiffened.

“Leng Keyan.”

This time, his voice carried a stern warning. “If you’re not going to sleep, get off.”

“I can’t sleep…”

Letting go reluctantly, Leng Keyan sounded wronged. “You’re not even holding me. Do you not like me anymore…”

Yin Siyao sighed and pulled him into his arms.

“Can you sleep now?”

Leng Keyan rubbed against his chest, satisfied. “Mm… I think so.”

But clearly, he still couldn’t.

Not even five minutes of quiet passed before he lifted his head again, trying the same trick.

Yin Siyao felt a headache coming on. “…”

Kids are really too noisy—what should you do?

“Leng Keyan,” he pressed down on his restless head, “I’ll count to three. One…”

“Yaoyao…”

Leng Keyan tried to act cute again.

“Two.”

He immediately shut up, obediently burying his face in Yin Siyao’s chest, not daring to move.

Satisfied, Yin Siyao patted his back. “Good. Sleep.”

Leng Keyan looked aggrieved, eyes watery, shoulders trembling slightly.

“If you want to mess around, do it tonight, okay?”

Yin Siyao’s voice was already fading. “Sleep first. I’m really tired. Be good, alright?”

“Okay. I’ll listen to everything you say, Yaoyao.”

This time, Leng Keyan finally quieted down.

The sunlight grew brighter, slipping through the curtains and casting warm patches of light on the floor.

Holding Yin Siyao, breathing in the orange-scented body wash on him, listening to his steady heartbeat, Leng Keyan slowly closed his eyes.

After confirming the person in his arms had fallen asleep, Yin Siyao also drifted back into sleep.
