Half an hour later, Leng Keyan had finally made himself look presentable.

He stood in front of the bathroom mirror, checking himself over and over, running a hand through his hair.

His face, washed with cold water, looked fresh and clean, though there was still a slight puffiness around his eyes from sleep.

He put on an off-white sweater, then felt it was too plain and changed into one with faint gray-blue stripes.

Stuffing his phone into his pocket, he was about to head downstairs to grab something to eat.

Just as he reached the door, the doorbell rang.

Thinking it was Bai Zhi, he didn’t even look up as he opened the door, casually saying, “What brings you here?”

The door swung open.

Standing outside was someone holding a white takeout bag, faint steam curling out from the top.

It was Yin Siyao.

The winter afternoon light slanted in from the corridor window behind him, outlining his figure in a soft golden glow.

Leng Keyan froze in the doorway.

Yin Siyao raised an eyebrow, his gaze dropping to the hotel’s disposable slippers still on Leng Keyan’s feet. “If you’re not looking for your own boyfriend, who else should you be looking for?”

His voice wasn’t loud, carrying a hint of hoarseness from travel—and a trace of amusement.

“Boy… boyfriend…”

Leng Keyan’s brain felt like rusted gears, completely unable to function.

Without waiting for a response, Yin Siyao stepped past him into the room and casually closed the door behind him.

He set the plastic bag on the small round table with a soft tap.

After three seconds of stunned silence, Leng Keyan rushed forward and wrapped his arms around Yin Siyao’s waist.

He lifted him straight off the ground and spun him around twice.

“Y-you… why are you here?!”

His voice rose with excitement as he tightened his grip, burying his face into Yin Siyao’s down jacket, still carrying the chill of the outdoors. “How did you know I was here? And even the room number?!”

Yin Siyao let out a muffled grunt from being squeezed but didn’t struggle.

Only after Leng Keyan finished spinning did he pat his arm, signaling him to put him down.

Once his feet touched the ground again, Yin Siyao adjusted his slightly rumpled collar. “You posted your location on your Moments—weren’t you just waiting for me to come find you?”

Leng Keyan: “…”

His little scheme exposed, he hugged Yin Siyao even tighter, rubbing his face against the crook of his neck.

A faint, familiar scent lingered there, mixed with the crisp cold of winter.

Yin Siyao had no choice but to let him cling to him.

After a while, he finally rubbed the fluffy head in his arms. “Alright, the wontons are going to get cold.”

Only then did Leng Keyan reluctantly loosen his grip, though his eyes stayed glued to Yin Siyao’s face, as if afraid he’d disappear the moment he blinked.

Yin Siyao pulled out a chair, took off his coat, and casually draped it over the back.

Underneath, he wore a light gray cashmere sweater that accentuated his broad shoulders and slim waist.

Leng Keyan pressed on, “But how did you know my room number?”

Turning around, Yin Siyao smiled slightly. “I asked the front desk. I said I bought food for my boyfriend but forgot the room number.”

Leng Keyan: “…”

“Why didn’t you message me before coming?”

His heart was still pounding. “I thought… I thought you…”

“Thought what?”

Yin Siyao stepped closer and pinched his slightly chubby cheek. “I came to check on you—since when do people give advance notice for that?”

The gesture was natural and intimate, the warmth of his fingertips seeping through.

Leng Keyan’s face flushed instantly, even the tips of his ears turning pink.

“But… didn’t you already check on me through video…”

He muttered, though his gaze kept wandering over Yin Siyao’s face.

After a few days apart, Yin Siyao looked a bit tired, with faint dark circles under his eyes.

But his eyes were bright as he focused on unpacking the food.

Leng Keyan followed him over, watching as he opened the container.

Inside was a bowl of clear broth wontons—light, translucent soup with plump, thin-skinned dumplings.

Green scallions and bits of seaweed floated on top, and the aroma quickly filled the room.

Yin Siyao handed him a spoon, lowering his voice with a teasing tone. “What if someone was hiding under your blanket?”

Leng Keyan took the spoon, their fingers brushing—warmth sparking through the contact, making his heart skip a beat.

He scooped up a wonton, blew on it, and popped it into his mouth.

The savory broth burst with flavor, the filling a tender mix of shrimp and pork.

“I would never go behind your back and mess around… cheating is immoral, I’d never do that…”

His ears were still red.

Yin Siyao washed his hands, then came back, drying them with a tissue before gently ruffling Leng Keyan’s hair.

His tone softened. “I was joking. I just missed you, so I came.”

A simple sentence, without embellishment.

But those three words—I missed you—made Leng Keyan feel like he was soaking in warm water, relaxed from head to toe.

He stared at Yin Siyao for a few seconds, then suddenly lunged forward, hugging him tightly without hesitation.

His arms wrapped around that lean waist, face pressed against his chest.

Yin Siyao staggered back half a step from the impact but quickly steadied himself, arms encircling his back.

The soft cashmere brushed against Leng Keyan’s cheek. He could hear the steady heartbeat beneath and smell that clean, comforting scent.

“I missed you too…”

Leng Keyan said in a muffled voice, tinged with a slight nasal tone. “You hardly replied to my messages… I thought… I thought you were annoyed with me…”

“I’m not annoyed. Don’t overthink.”

Yin Siyao gently patted his back. “There’s just been a lot going on at home, and the signal wasn’t great.”

He had wanted to finish things quickly so he could come into the city to see him.

“Then why still come…”

“Because I missed you.”

Yin Siyao repeated, more seriously this time. “If I didn’t come, I was afraid my kid would get snatched away by someone else.”

Leng Keyan lifted his head, eyes sparkling. “Who would snatch me away?”

“Bai Youyu.”

Yin Siyao said it plainly. “My kid is too attractive—of course I have to keep a close eye on you.”

Leng Keyan burst out laughing. “Teacher Yin, are you jealous?”

Yin Siyao didn’t deny it, just looked down at him, his gaze deep.

That look made Leng Keyan’s heart burn, like something was igniting inside.

“I wouldn’t be snatched away by anyone…”

He only liked Yin Siyao.

His cheeks flushed red. “If I were to be taken away… it would only be by you…”

Yin Siyao’s gaze softened, filled with undisguised affection. “Good boy. You get a reward~”

As he spoke, he pressed a light kiss to the corner of Leng Keyan’s lips.

That heated look instantly ignited all of Leng Keyan’s suppressed emotions—his anxiety, his insecurity, his grievances.

Taking the initiative, he wrapped his arms around Yin Siyao’s neck and kissed him directly. “Not enough. I want more.”

Yin Siyao’s legs weakened from the kiss, his hand instinctively gripping Leng Keyan’s clothes.

The cashmere was soft, but the body beneath was firm and strong.

Leng Keyan’s warmth seeped through the fabric, burning hot.

The kiss moved from lips to chin, then down to the neck.

A hand slipped under the hem of the sweater, palm pressing against the skin at his waist.

Yin Siyao let out a soft sound, his whole body going limp in Leng Keyan’s arms.
