Just as Zhu Jie forcefully kicked against the wall, Ji Yi also exerted strength with his hand at the same moment, lifting her straight up as if he were picking up a little squirrel. There was even a teasing smile hanging at the corner of his mouth.

Seeing her limbs flailing wildly made Ji Yi even more amused. He hadn’t missed the astonished glance she gave him when she looked down at him. Without realizing it, he raised an eyebrow and smiled at her.

In the very next moment, however, Ji Yi deliberately loosened his grip. With a “thud,” the “little squirrel” finally stopped struggling and lay face-down in the snow, motionless.

Lying in the snow, Zhu Jie felt like crying but had no tears to shed. Was there really such a man who had no idea how to cherish a delicate girl? She was, after all, a cute and delicate young lady! And yet he had simply thrown her straight onto the ground!

“So? How is it? Is the snow outside thick?” A mocking voice sounded beside her ear.

Zhu Jie spat out the snow and mud in her mouth and said through gritted teeth, “Thick. Very thick.” As she spoke, she secretly scooped up a handful of snowy mud and clenched it in her hand, preparing to turn around and give Ji Yi a taste of it.

Unfortunately, he didn’t give her the chance to turn around. The moment her waist moved, she felt a hand grab hold of her clothes again.

“Ah—what are you trying to do?” With a scream, Zhu Jie froze instantly. She no longer cared about throwing mud at him—right now, her pants were far more important! In a panic, she hurriedly grabbed onto them.

Ji Yi calmly turned back and replied, “Nothing. I was just about to call her to come eat.” Then he looked down again at Zhu Jie, who was still lying in the snow gnawing on muddy snow, chuckled lightly, and added, “But it seems she’s already eating.”

The icy chill mixed with the earthy smell of mud sharply stimulated Zhu Jie’s senses. This house is impossible to stay in! Everyone in this place was a bunch of perverts! Absolute perverts!

Crisp crunching sounds echoed across the melting snow, leaving shallow footprints behind as Ji Yi walked back on his own, not even bothering to help Zhu Jie up.

Zhu Jie waited a moment. After confirming that Ji Yi really wasn’t going to do anything inhumane to her again, she slowly stood up and brushed the snow and mud off her body.

Just as she lifted her head and cautiously glanced back at the short wall behind her, she heard Ji Yi mutter softly, “Stop dreaming. Come eat.”

Did the back of his head have eyes or something? Zhu Jie was startled. After a moment of shock, she angrily swung a fierce left hook at Ji Yi’s back—of course, only from afar. She didn’t actually have the ability to hit him. Sob… at least it felt satisfying to pretend!

“Better stop those little tricks,” Ji Yi suddenly said again. “Save your energy and think about what you’re going to do tonight.”

Night? What would happen tonight?

Wait—no way. Did he really plan to… take advantage of her?

“No!” Zhu Jie instantly broke into a cold sweat, clutching the collar of her clothes tightly.
