USWHC -Chapter 185 Miss, You’re Too Modest (Part 5)

The Ultimate Spoiled Wife: A Hilarious Shameless Couple 4 min read 185 of 232 0

“Ah! Pervert! Shameless pervert!”

Miss Sun’s hysterical scream nearly echoed through the entire Sun residence. The murderous glare in her eyes looked as if it could pierce straight through Ji Yi.

Yet even so, Ji Yi leisurely replied, “Miss, you’re too modest!”

Pfft! Zhu Jie nearly spat blood. No! Was he doing this on purpose? Why? Why did these lines all sound so familiar?!

Sun Shaohui was practically dying of anger. What did he mean by that? I’m too modest? Wait… was he responding to the “shameless pervert” part?

At last, after Ji Yi had thoroughly feasted his eyes, a burst of chaotic shouting rang out—

“Miss! Miss!”

Only then did the maids seem to regain their senses. They rushed forward in a flurry, hands everywhere as they hurriedly pulled Sun Shaohui’s clothes back into place. Someone brought a cloak and wrapped her up completely, turning her into a tightly bundled dumpling.

Faced with such an embarrassing scene, Sun Shaohui simply shut her eyes.

I’ve fainted. I’ve fainted!

She silently declared to everyone that she had lost consciousness—hopefully when she opened her eyes again, everyone else would have also lost their memories and forgotten this awkward moment.

Actually, Zhu Jie wished she could forget it too. She couldn’t understand how that bowl of black sesame paste had suddenly changed direction, or what exactly had tripped her. The timing was just too unfortunate.

Watching as a whole crowd of people carried the “dumpling-wrapped Sun” away, Zhu Jie finally couldn’t hold it in any longer.

“Explain! What just happened?” Zhu Jie barked, hands on her hips like a fierce tigress.

Was Ji Yi scared? Of course not!

He simply raised his thumb and gave Zhu Jie a big thumbs-up. “Sis, you’re amazing! Really looking out for your big brother—what a sight for sore eyes!”

A sight for sore eyes?

Zhu Jie’s eyes widened. Seeing his cheeky grin, her face instantly flushed red. “Who told you to look?! Couldn’t you just close your eyes?”

“Why would I? Such a wonderful scene—if you don’t look, it’s a waste!” Ji Yi said righteously, even giving a sly grin.

Zhu Jie was instantly speechless with anger, teeth itching with frustration. She shot him a fierce glare and snapped, “Tell me the truth—were you doing that on purpose just now?”

“Yes. I deliberately widened my eyes to look,” Ji Yi replied, even using his fingers to pull his eyelids open, stretching his eyes into exaggerated circles.

“Be serious!” Zhu Jie burst into laughter at his ridiculous expression but forced herself to hold it back, maintaining a stern tone. “Tell me—did you deliberately say those words? Like, ‘So good, beautiful… Miss, you’re too modest!’”

“Yes!” To her surprise, Ji Yi admitted it openly once again.

“You did it on purpose?” This time Zhu Jie’s eyes went wide. “Why?”

Was he dissatisfied with Miss Sun?

No, that couldn’t be right. A hopeless bachelor like him who could never find a partner—meeting a wealthy and beautiful lady like Miss Sun was like a blessing earned over three lifetimes. Why would he possibly be unhappy?

Just as Zhu Jie was racking her brain in confusion, Ji Yi broke into an extremely silly grin. Scratching his head with one hand and scratching his cheek with the other like a monkey, he chuckled foolishly.

“Wasn’t that what you taught me? You said that when talking to women, those three sentences would do the trick!”

Zhu Jie stared at his goofy expression.

He can’t be serious… right?

No, no—she couldn’t be fooled by appearances. He wasn’t dumb at all! If he were truly foolish, how could he have cooperated so perfectly? The moment Miss Sun ran into trouble, he was practically cheering her on!

He did it on purpose—he definitely did!

The more Zhu Jie thought about it, the angrier she became. She immediately threw a punch.

“You ruined everything! Do you know how important Miss Sun is?”

Her fist landed squarely on Ji Yi’s stomach.

“Ugh!” Ji Yi yelped in pain and dropped straight into a squat.

But Zhu Jie simply stomped her foot and clenched her teeth. “No, this won’t do. I need to find a way to fix this!”

Ji Yi saw Zhu Jie suddenly turn and run after the direction Sun Shaohui had been carried away.

“Where are you going?” he quickly shouted.

“I’m going to apologize for you!” Zhu Jie replied without even turning her head back. It seemed she was absolutely determined to help him win over that rich and beautiful lady.

Unfortunately, she didn’t look back—and so she didn’t see the disappointment on Ji Yi’s face, nor did she hear the quiet words he murmured under his breath.

“There’s no need…”
