From the moment she entered the room until now, it was barely a blink of an eye—and yet… it’s done?
A condition that countless skilled physicians couldn’t treat was now suppressed?
The person lying on the bed was breathing more steadily, and even their complexion had regained a hint of color.
Casually taking a medicine bottle and placing it on the table, Ling Ruoxi said calmly, “These are to be administered after the needles. There are ten pills inside. I’ll come back two more times, and then she can take the last dose at noon.”
“Thank you! Thank you!” Helian Yu hurriedly opened the bottle. The fragrant aroma hit his senses, and he poured the pills with warm water for Ye Xiang to swallow.
Seeing her condition improve, Helian Yu stood up quickly. “You two, I…” But the room was already empty—there was no trace of them left.
Back at the teahouse, Ling Ruoxi yawned repeatedly, bored, crossing her legs and munching on sunflower seeds while gazing out the window.
“Ruoxi, Mingyu, I made a little snack. Try it,” Ning Yue said with a gentle smile, placing the food down. “Where did you two go? I couldn’t find you, so I returned to the inn.”
“We went to the Helian residence to check on Lady Helian’s condition,” Ling Ruoxi said with a faint smile, popping a piece of pastry into her mouth. Her peripheral vision had already caught sight of a flustered figure, but she ignored it.
Almost spilling her tea, Ning Yue awkwardly asked, “Really? How is Lady Helian’s condition?”
“Not good. It seems she won’t survive long,” Ling Ruoxi said with a shake of her head, sighing. “I don’t know who could be so cruel to poison her. She’s beyond medical help now. Only a top-tier physician could save her.”
“So serious?” Ning Yue exclaimed.
Ling Ruoxi rested her head on one hand, smiling faintly. “Everyone in this town already knows. Didn’t you?”
“I… I know,” Ning Yue said, feeling guilty, giving an embarrassed laugh.
“They say Lady Helian usually does good deeds and helps the townspeople. It’s a shame someone with such a cruel heart poisoned her. Ning Yue, what do you think should be done to the culprit?” Ling Ruoxi asked, raising an eyebrow.
The guilty girl quickly lowered her head. “I… I don’t know… Maybe make them taste a medicine a hundred times worse.”
“Yes! That’s exactly how they should be punished!” Ling Ruoxi said, slapping the table with a nod.
Luo Mingyu smirked. He picked up his teacup, the cold light in his eyes flashing briefly, and took a casual sip.
Seeing Luo Mingyu drink, Ning Yue finally relaxed, whispering, “Then you two continue chatting. I’ll go back now.”
“Alright, take care.” Ling Ruoxi sniffed her tea, chuckling. “You didn’t notice such a strong aphrodisiac?”
“I did. So what?” Luo Mingyu raised an eyebrow, smiling faintly.
Yawning, Ling Ruoxi said boredly, “Seems like you really like being with her. Tonight, you should stay obediently with her…”
“Wrong. Tonight, you’re my medicine… my cure.”
The moon hung high, the sky clear without a cloud.
The already-prepared woman applied blush lightly to her cheeks, dressed in a jade-green gown, and gently opened the door.
“Mingyu, are you asleep?” Her soft voice echoed. Seeing no reply, she stepped inside.
Inside the room, Ling Ruoxi’s whereabouts were unknown. Only Luo Mingyu lay on the bed. Perhaps due to the medicine, he had removed his shirt, revealing his strong chest, glistening with sweat that threatened to soak his clothes.
The slightly panting woman carried a seductive air, her eyes half-lidded. “S-so hot…”
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of you.” Smiling, she approached Luo Mingyu, her swaying figure exuding charm.
Sitting lightly on the bed, her delicate hands caressed his chest.
“You really are a real man. Your body is stronger than Helian Yu’s. You’re uncomfortable, right? I’ll take care of you soon. After this, you won’t feel pain anymore.” She loosened her waistband, removed her outer robe, pressing close to his lips for a kiss.
The man, cheeks flushed, frowned and quickly dodged, gripping the bed and staring coldly.
“Hmph, still conscious. Don’t worry, I’ll make you feel very comfortable.” She climbed onto his lap, hands agilely stripping his shirt.
That foolish woman! Luo Mingyu’s eyes flashed red, his aura surging toward Ning Yue.
The woman trying to remove his shirt trembled violently and fell onto the bed.
“Hu… Ling Ruoxi, get out here!” Luo Mingyu’s face was red with fury. He wanted to kill her. The plan was just to let her think she and he had a connection—but if she didn’t come out, the fake act would turn real!
“Pfft, haha, I can’t hold it!” A silver figure laughed, clutching her stomach, nearly rolling on the floor, mimicking Ning Yue, teasing, “Come on! I’ll take care of you, and you’ll feel wonderful, without any discomfort!”
“Get out!” Luo Mingyu clenched his fists, ready to tear the foolish wolf apart.
The silver wolf waved lazily. “Don’t be so heartless! She’s doing it all for you. She’s offering herself—what more do you want?”
“Bring her out! My aphrodisiac hasn’t worn off yet!” Luo Mingyu nearly lost his mind.
The wolf nodded, seemingly understanding, mimicked Ning Yue, and smiled flirtatiously.
“Pop!” The next white figure got kicked away. The enraged man charged, grabbing the hiding woman and rushing back to the room.
The entire inn shivered at the scene.
“Hey, Luo Mingyu, I was just joking!” Ling Ruoxi stifled a laugh. The man was foolish enough to drink an aphrodisiac.
The man standing simply raised an eyebrow. “Cure.”
“Here you go.” Ling Ruoxi reached into her chest. Before she could act further, the man stepped forward and pulled her into his arms.
“Mm…” She shivered, pupils constricting. His gentle kiss, tinged with fragrance, intoxicated her.
She smiled faintly, removing her obstructive robe. “Remember? I said you’re my cure.”
The heated breath tickled her ear. He was flushed, body weak, yet pushed her slightly away.
“I only want you, my cure.” Luo Mingyu wrapped her in his arms, placing Ling Ruoxi on the bed.
To punish her, he slowed down, making her beg before the final, fierce movement.
By mid-morning, the sleeping girl felt her mind foggy, groaning as she slowly opened her eyes.
“This is…” Ning Yue blinked, realizing she had ended up in Luo Mingyu’s room. Her head turned, and the handsome man lay next to her, one arm around her shoulder.
The heat and masculine aura emanated from him. Ning Yue smiled proudly, laying on his chest and tracing circles on him.
“Mm?” Luo Mingyu stirred awake, instinctively holding the person in his arms tighter, surprised by her boldness.
As he turned to move on top of her, his heart nearly leapt out. He stiffened, face pale, hastily pulling back as if a small girl had suddenly grabbed the blanket, wary.
Something didn’t add up. Last night he had been entangled with that little one—but this morning… why was it this woman?
He could resist the aphrodisiac, and her warmth confirmed it—he hadn’t done anything inappropriate.
Suddenly, the woman realized something. Coldly, she asked, “Why… are you in my bed?”
“Mingyu, did you forget? Last night, I brought you supper. You said it was hot, and then…” Ning Yue’s voice trembled into soft sobs, like pear blossoms in the rain.
The man clenched his fists, striking the wall. “Sorry, Ning Yue. I don’t know what happened… I’m sorry…”
“No, it’s okay. I’m willing,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around him, pressing happily against his chest. “As long as you don’t mind me, that’s enough.”
“You fool, how could I mind?” Luo Mingyu said, holding her.
Before he could speak further, the door burst open with a “bang.” A white-haired man stood there, hands tucked in his sleeves, jaw dropping at the sight of the two on the bed.
“You… you…”
“What are we doing? Out!” Ning Yue covered herself, her attention caught by the silver hair.
Silver hair? Nowadays, who has silver hair?
