PD -Chapter 51 The Yin Entity Strikes

Under the bright moonlight, the head floating in the center of the pond looked eerily real—its expression gloomy, lifeless, and heavy with deathly qi.

It slowly turned in the middle of the water, its small head twisting as it stared directly at Wang Ke’s father. Then it slowly split open its pale lips.

Those lips were actually split into three segments—just looking at them made one’s scalp crawl.

And it was precisely this three-split lip that had once made it the target of ridicule and bullying as a child.

Wu Yi’s life had been tragic from the start—he lost his father at a young age and was born with a cleft lip deformity.

“Xiao Ke! Xiao Ke… don’t go in!” Wang Ke’s father suddenly panicked, his entire body going hysterical. He looked at the head floating in the center of the pond, then at his son’s back, and tremblingly reached out while shouting.

Seeing that Wang Ke didn’t respond, he stepped into the pond himself.

I immediately grabbed him, trying to stop him—but the moment his foot touched the water, the entire pond turned into a thick, black viscous substance.

The black liquid, like asphalt, slowly crawled up the bodies of the three people trapped in the water.

“Brother Han, think of something!” Liu Xiaopeng shouted as he watched Tang Shanshan sink deeper.

“Illuminating the three realms, passing through all gates and crossings. Ten thousand demons are scattered, the essence of moisture obeys command.”

Ignoring Liu Xiaopeng’s shout, I rapidly formed hand seals and began chanting the Water Spirit Incantation. A massive talisman descended from the sky and pressed onto the black asphalt-like surface of the water. Golden light slowly pushed back the darkness—but the pond did not return to clarity. Instead, it remained murky, as if something enormous had stirred it into chaos.

I drew out the Fuling Ruler and was about to use it to pull Wang Ke’s father ashore, but he shook his head.

“Save my son first!”

I hesitated for a moment, then sighed.

As the water briefly lost its stickiness, I instantly swung the Fuling Ruler and hooked Tang Shanshan and Wang Ke—both already submerged up to their shoulders—and pulled them toward shore with all my strength.

The moment they were caught by the Fuling Ruler, both regained consciousness. Realizing they were in a deep pond, they panicked—but Tang Shanshan quickly recovered. She grabbed Wang Ke, held onto the Fuling Ruler, and swam toward shore with all her strength.

They drew closer and closer to land.

Just as I was about to breathe a sigh of relief, the yin entity that had been lurking in the center of the pond—only its head visible—slowly rose from the water.

Its entire small body emerged from beneath the surface and floated in midair above the water. Only its tiny feet lightly touched the surface.

It looked at us.

Then that three-split cleft lip opened again.

This time, it wasn’t laughing—it was screaming.

A piercing, ear-splitting shriek erupted from its mouth. Concentric waves spread across the pond, centered on it, forming eerie ripples.

“Faster!” I gritted my teeth while pulling on the Fuling Ruler. But with the arrival of those ripples, a powerful opposing force surged from the water.

Tang Shanshan and Wang Ke, like two drifting specks in the ocean, began to be pulled back toward the center.

“Wu Yi! Wu Yi! Come at me if you want revenge—I’m the one paying the debt! This has nothing to do with my son!”

Wang Ke’s father screamed hysterically from the water.

Then he collapsed into the pond, no longer struggling, allowing himself to be pulled toward the center by that force.

At this point, the entire pond had turned into a giant washing machine. The water began rotating clockwise, forming a vortex beneath the yin entity’s feet, as if it intended to swallow everything in the world.

I clenched my teeth and tied the Fuling Ruler around my waist to prevent Tang Shanshan and Wang Ke from being dragged away.

Then I activated the Golden Light Spell, unleashing every bit of spiritual energy in my body. Golden light erupted from me, spreading across every pore. My eyes shone brilliantly, and I looked like a divine being descending from heaven.

“An enemy’s debt must be repaid by the one who owes it! Your enemy is right before you. If you still harm the innocent, don’t blame me for showing no mercy!”

My intention was clear—I wanted to intimidate it, to make it release Tang Shanshan and Wang Ke.

But in truth, I was extremely uncertain inside.

Because I couldn’t swim at all.

And I had barely studied any of the water-element techniques recorded in the Tianxuan Mystical Codex.

This pond was its domain. The water was its extension—its tentacles, its power source.

Trying to defeat it as a land-dweller was extremely difficult.

The yin entity in the center of the pond, which had been staring at Wang Ke’s father, slowly turned its gaze toward me.

Its split lips suddenly closed.

The ripples across the water immediately weakened.

Tang Shanshan and Wang Ke finally regained strength and, with my help, swam to shore.

In contrast, Wang Ke’s father was now being drawn toward the center of the vortex.

“Dad!”

Just as he reached shore, Wang Ke screamed and tried to jump back into the water again.

Tang Shanshan immediately hugged him tightly, stopping him.

“Please… please help my father… please!” Wang Ke begged, looking at me.

I said nothing.

I just stared at Wang Ke’s father sinking deeper into the center of the vortex.

The yin entity hovering above the water let out another strange sound—it sounded like laughter.

It slowly descended, its feet sinking into the water. Then it bent down and grabbed Wang Ke’s father, who had completely lost resistance, choking him with both hands.

My gaze sharpened.

I immediately shouted toward the center of the pond:

“Now!”

“Thunder Edict, command of the great divine. Thunder fire advances, thunderclap follows the body!”

I shouted the incantation into the water.

“Thunder… Thunder Edict, command of the great divine…” Wang Ke’s father, weak and gasping, echoed my chant.

“Thunder fire advances, thunderclap follows the body!”

“Form the seals! Zhen pattern—thumb pressing index finger; Li pattern—thumb pressing middle finger; Ding on the middle finger; Wu on the ring finger; Gui below the middle finger…”

I continued shouting while rapidly forming hand seals. I also signaled Liu Xiaoqiang to shine a flashlight on me.

Even while being choked by the yin entity, Wang Ke’s father slowly raised his hand and followed my seal movements.

At the moment the final seal was completed, black clouds suddenly surged above the pond, completely blocking the moonlight within a radius of three meters.

Within the dark clouds, fire and lightning intertwined. Blue lightning wrapped in golden flames gathered, coiling like a dragon poised above the yin entity, ready to open its mouth and unleash divine fire.
