Fu Xiaoxiao stood there with blood all over her head, her expression crazed. Pointing at Fu Sui’er, she hurled abuse without restraint, “So what if I hit your sore spot? You thought your Shen family was something special? Turns out you’re nothing more than that. Xiao Lanlan threw herself at others to be played with—if she dared to do it, why doesn’t she dare to admit it?”
Originally, Fu Xiaoxiao had gone to the Arts Building to complain to Zhou Yanheng, but to her surprise, he wasn’t at school. After asking around, she learned that Xiao Lanlan had asked him out.
Unwilling to accept it, she was about to call him, but the others quickly stopped her, advising her not to interrupt the two’s “good time.”
During the past month of filming, Xiao Lanlan had been frequenting the Arts Building whenever she had free time. Every time she entered a room, she would stay for several hours. She thought she was being discreet, but in reality, everyone understood what was going on without saying it out loud.
Fu Xiaoxiao had always viewed Zhou Yanheng through rose-colored glasses, believing he was different from Guan He and the others. The thought of the two doing such things right under her nose filled her with uncontrollable hatred.
But all her resentment was directed at Xiao Lanlan, because she was convinced it was Xiao Lanlan who had seduced Zhou Yanheng.
After leaving the Arts Building, Fu Xiaoxiao had completely forgotten about Shen Mianzhi. Right now, she only wanted Xiao Lanlan’s reputation to be ruined—she wanted her dead.
So she deliberately picked a fight with Fu Sui’er, twisting the story between Xiao Lanlan and Zhou Yanheng into something far worse—claiming Xiao Lanlan had been promiscuous with all the boys in the Arts Building.
Xiao Lanlan didn’t get along well with the Shen sisters, and Fu Xiaoxiao seized on that, hoping to use Fu Sui’er’s mouth to destroy Xiao Lanlan completely.
But what she never expected was that after hearing everything, Fu Sui’er didn’t kick her while she was down. Instead, she turned around and beat Fu Xiaoxiao up, even threatening to tear her mouth apart if she dared to spread such filthy rumors again.
First retaliated against by Shen Mianzhi, then betrayed by Zhou Yanheng, and now beaten by Fu Sui’er—Fu Xiaoxiao completely broke down, screaming like a madwoman, “What are you acting so noble for? Don’t forget, it was your mother—shameless and promiscuous—that got her kicked out of the Fu family!”
“You’re asking for death.”
Shen Jiao was Fu Sui’er’s bottom line. With Fu Xiaoxiao dragging her into slander, Fu Sui’er completely lost control, charging into the crowd and kicking and punching Fu Xiaoxiao again.
Everyone was stunned by her reaction and hurried forward to pull them apart.
“Separate them! Hurry!” The disciplinary teacher was so anxious he was practically on fire.
“Who dares to grab me?!” Fu Sui’er, eyes bloodshot, shoved people away. “Believe it or not, I’ll have my uncle treat you all to bullets!”
The last person who tried to stop her was still lying in the hospital—no one dared test that lesson again. Even the teacher stopped shouting, only stomping in place anxiously.
“What are you all doing here? Sui’er?”
A voice from the crowd suddenly rang out, snapping Fu Sui’er back to her senses.
She turned around. When she saw Jiang Huashan, her bloodshot eyes grew slightly moist. She ran over to the girl, “Shanshan, she spread rumors… she insulted my mom.”
Fu Xiaoxiao collapsed on the ground, blood at her head and mouth. Jiang Huashan only glanced at her before looking away, gently lifting Fu Sui’er’s hand to check it. “Does it hurt?”
“It hurts,” Fu Sui’er said, acting spoiled.
The disciplinary teacher’s eyelids twitched—you smashed someone’s head open, of course it hurts!
Jiang Huashan blew lightly on her hand. “Next time, remember not to use your bare hands.”
“Jiang—Hua—Shan!” Fu Xiaoxiao gritted her teeth. “I’m going to report you all! This isn’t over—I’ll make sure you pay for this!”
Shen Mianzhi stepped through the crowd and stood in front of Jiang Huashan and Fu Sui’er. Calmly, she took out a record book. “Gathering to fight and disturbing school discipline. Everyone involved today will have twenty points deducted from their academic record. Fu Xiaoxiao has already accumulated thirty demerit points—she will be held back a year.”
She quickly made the record. Under everyone’s stunned gaze, she closed the book. “Starting tomorrow, report to the junior division.”
“I’ll tear you apart!” Never having suffered such humiliation, Fu Xiaoxiao’s fighting spirit flared again as she lunged at Shen Mianzhi.
Seeing this, Fu Sui’er was about to step forward, but Shen Mianzhi raised a hand to stop her behind her. With a clean, elegant spinning kick, she struck Fu Xiaoxiao square in the lower abdomen.
Fu Xiaoxiao let out a muffled cry and was sent flying a full meter away.
The damage from that single kick exceeded everything she had suffered before combined.
“Xiaoxiao!”
When Fu Wenbo rushed into the crowd, Fu Xiaoxiao had just flown past him—too late for him to catch her.
He turned and caught her in his arms, but she had already passed out.
“You’ve gone too far!” Fu Wenbo’s veins bulged as he rolled up his sleeves. “Let’s see if I don’t beat you to death today!”
“Move aside!”
A swift figure darted through the crowd. At the same time, Gao Zhi—standing at 1.95 meters tall—pushed aside a group of “little potatoes” and planted himself in front of Shen Mianzhi like a solid wall.
By the time Fu Wenbo reacted, two figures were already standing before him. His expression shifted slightly, but he stiffened his neck and snapped, “Get lost. A good dog doesn’t block the way.”
Shen Mianzhi was a little surprised. She knew Gao Zhi, but who was the other one in a military academy uniform?
Gao Zhi glanced at the man beside him, then stepped forward and pointed toward the Yingcai Building.
Fu Wenbo followed the direction of his finger.
On the top floor, Shen Lanxi stood in the corridor with his hands in his pockets. His handsome face showed no expression, his eyes shadowed and cold.
The atmosphere fell into a deadlock.
“Ring—”
At that moment, the pleasant sound of the class bell rang.
The disciplinary teacher, as if hearing a heavenly rescue, played dumb and shouted, “What are you all standing around for? Get back to class!”
The onlookers didn’t dare linger any longer and scattered like startled birds.
“Hurry back to the classroom. If you get caught watching, you’ll be in trouble,” the class monitor said, afraid of getting dragged into it, turning to leave.
Xia Xingchen grabbed his collar and pointed toward the crowd. “Who is she?”
Startled, the class monitor quickly slapped his hand away. “Are you trying to get yourself killed? You dare point at her?”
Xia Xingchen looked at his reddened hand and smiled faintly. “What’s the matter?”
“She’s basically the living ancestor of Yucai. See the one who was standing in the corridor just now? The crown prince of the Shen family. I heard he inherited a whole military corps at birth. Among all the young masters and young ladies in Yucai, he’s the only one whose bodyguards never leave his side. That kind of privilege is absolutely unique.”
Xia Xingchen frowned slightly. “What’s their relationship?”
“Siblings. She has three older brothers.”
Xia Xingchen turned his gaze toward the coquettish girl, his eyes darkening. “What about that one?”
The class monitor glanced over. “Fu Sui’er. Don’t mess with her either.”
Xia Xingchen gave no response and turned to walk into the classroom.
The class monitor looked at his back with a strange expression. He seemed gentle and refined, but who would’ve thought he was so strong?
“Um, Xia Xingchen, we’ve already arranged the seats. Since you came late, you’ll have to sit in the back for now. Is that okay?”
“No problem.” The boy set down his bag and casually took out a pair of black half-rim glasses.
The class monitor looked curious. “Huh? Are you nearsighted?”
Xia Xingchen smiled. “No, just need them occasionally.”
As he spoke, he opened an electronic notebook and swiftly typed with his fingers:
[Boss, I passed the exam.]
The reply came quickly.
[This mission: Fu Sui’er.]
