Eva’s car was a Honda CR-V, and the trunk wasn’t big enough to fit the motorcycle entirely—it had to stick out partially.
As they set off, just about to leave Highway 8 and turn onto a dirt road, they encountered a police car. Three officers in uniform and sunglasses waved from the roadside, one holding a “STOP” sign.
Wang Bo thought they were being stopped because the motorcycle wasn’t properly secured and tried to reassure Eva: “Don’t worry, I know the local cops pretty well. This will be an easy matter to settle.”
Eva slowly shook her head, taking off her sunglasses to reveal furrowed brows and puzzled eyes. “No, this isn’t right…”
One officer stood in the middle of the road, blocking their path. Eva gradually stopped the car and quickly said, “Wang, these people aren’t police. Listen, I’ve got two bullets in my gun, so I can only take down two of them. You handle the last one, alright?”
Wang Bo was shocked, thinking he’d misheard. He instinctively asked, “What did you say?”
“No time to explain. Remember, I’ll shoot the two behind—they’re armed. You deal with the one in front!” Eva said as she swiftly pulled a child’s palm-sized handgun out of her handbag.
Before Wang Bo could ask more questions, Eva got out of the car, her left hand behind her back and right hand extended in greeting, smiling sweetly: “Hi, officers, what can I do for you?”
The officer in front approached and said, “Yes, please cooperate with an investigation.”
As he came up to Wang Bo’s side, Eva suddenly raised her right hand behind her back, and two sharp “pops” echoed. Before Wang Bo could react, two officers about ten meters away screamed and trembled as they collapsed.
“Fuck!” The remaining officer cursed, drawing a knife from his pocket and lunging at Wang Bo.
But Wang Bo was prepared. He quickly side-kicked the attacker’s groin. The man screamed, clutching himself and bending over. Wang Bo then drove his knee upward hard, cutting off the man’s scream.
Next, he clenched his fists and slammed his forearms down hard, his elbows striking the attacker’s back of the head with a dull thud, knocking him flat!
“Wow, impressive fighting skills! Have you had military combat training?” Eva’s eyes sparkled with admiration.
Wang Bo said, “No, I just like watching action movies and playing fighting games. That was a special move from KOF. Well, obviously not the time to discuss this… My god, what have we done? You didn’t actually shoot those two, right?”
“Of course not,” Eva raised her right hand, showing off the small handgun. “This is a stun gun for self-defense. You deserve one. Too bad it only has two high-voltage electronic rounds, or you wouldn’t have to get your hands dirty.”
Wang Bo looked at her in surprise. “But I can’t imagine you having such good marksmanship.”
Eva smiled, “If you knew my identity, you wouldn’t be so surprised.”
“What’s your identity?” Wang Bo’s heart jumped. He couldn’t help but recall Charlie’s comment about this girl: her real identity was nothing like her sweet smile—she was a death goddess cloaked in black!
“Are you sure you want to know?” Eva asked with a teasing smile.
Wang Bo nodded seriously, “Yes, I’m sure.”
After he said that, Eva suddenly pushed him toward the front of the car, quickly lifted her long, beautiful leg and placed it on the hood. Leaning forward, she glared fiercely at him: “Listen, I’m a secret agent—a Russian female agent! So listen carefully: if you dare spread this, I’ll blow your head off and make soy milk with your brains!”
Wang Bo didn’t catch everything she said. His eyes were glued to her voluptuous chest, emphasized by her forward-leaning posture. Her white top seemed about to burst, and her deadly assets were threatening to spill out!
“What are you staring at!” Eva said coquettishly, smacking Wang Bo’s forehead, her face turning cold.
Pulling his gaze away, Wang Bo tried to look serious. “Oh, sorry. So, you’re a Russian agent? Are you undercover in New Zealand or retired and moved here?”
Eva was stunned, then couldn’t help but laugh, her delicate body trembling. “Oh my god, you actually believe that? Thank heavens I met someone as innocent as you—pure as a little lamb.”
“Alright, alright. Actually, my shooting is pretty good. Besides shooting, my taekwondo, judo, and boxing are also quite decent. But so what? I’m the scoutmaster of this small town’s Boy Scouts. Is there anything wrong with that?”
Wang Bo was about to ask more when Eva changed the subject: “By the way, let’s call the cops. You check the identities of those three fake officers—they might be robbers!”
“How do you know that?” Wang Bo asked.
Eva said casually, “Simple. They don’t act like real cops. Look—their patrol car is a BMW. Since when does the police department have money to use BMWs as patrol cars? But I’ve seen people paint private cars like police cars before.”
“Also, their plates are civilian, not police plates. The badges on their doors and national emblems are misplaced. Their stop signs aren’t official police-issued ones, and the country doesn’t allow police officers to wear sunglasses while enforcing.”
“Most importantly, those two guys were carrying sawed-off shotguns. I don’t think New Zealand’s police have ever used sawed-off shotguns for law enforcement!”
Wang Bo flipped over the two men who’d been shocked by the stun gun. A foul stench wafted up—they’d already lost control of their bladder and bowels. If there was a misery competition, they’d win.
No choice—the high-voltage stun rounds packed a punch. Wang Bo’s palms tingled from contact.
He lifted their clothes and sure enough, both had sawed-off shotguns hidden under their uniforms.
Having confirmed their suspicious identities, he suddenly remembered the three drug dealers who had escaped and quickly took off the sunglasses of these three men.
Sure enough, judging from their facial features, these three were the same kidnappers who had tried to abduct him that day. But with sunglasses and police uniforms, they looked quite different, so Wang Bo hadn’t recognized them at first.
He was impressed by Eva’s keen observation. These three clearly intended to take revenge here. If Eva hadn’t been with him, he probably would have suffered.
Eva stood nearby, making the call: “…Yes, yes. Three guys disguised as police, now taken down by Wang Bo, the town sheriff of Sunset Town. Please come quickly…”
Seeing Eva holding the phone, Wang Bo suddenly remembered he’d just changed his phone number today and hadn’t exchanged numbers with her yet.
After Eva hung up, Wang Bo reported the identities of the three men. Upon hearing that they were drug dealers, Eva’s big eyes narrowed into crescent moons with a triumphant smile: “How about that? Pretty good deduction skills, right?”
