Seeing this set of lights, Wang Bo was also surprised. He asked Eva, “Honey, did you change these?”

Eva shook her head in confusion. “No, no, I didn’t change them. My goodness, I thought it was your idea. They’re so beautiful.”

Hearing this, Terrence breathed a sigh of relief. “So you like them? I hope my initiative didn’t upset you.”

Wang Bo replied, “Of course not. But where did you get this lamp? Why didn’t you tell us in advance?”

Terrence shook his head. “It wasn’t my idea. It was Ms. Rosemary, the CEO of IKEA, who asked me to install it. She said you helped her a lot, and she couldn’t thank you properly, so she chose this lamp as a gift for you.”

Wang Bo suddenly understood. No wonder the castle’s completion was nearly a month behind schedule—it was because of this lamp.

The lamp nearly covered the entire ceiling of the main hall, turning it into a beautiful galaxy. Beyond the solar system, there were even some constellations.

Terrence said, “This lamp was probably custom-made by IKEA. It can sync with the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere.”

“That’s amazing!” Eva exclaimed.

At that moment, Wang Bo’s phone rang. Seeing that it was Rosemary, he quickly answered. “Hi, Ms. Rosemary, you have no idea how grateful we are right now.”

Rosemary smiled. “I can feel your gratitude, Mr. Mayor. So, you’ve received my wedding gift?”

The news that Wang Bo and Eva had decided to hold a wedding had only come out less than a month ago. He was surprised. “How did you know I would hold a wedding in spring? Do you have precognition?”

Rosemary said, “No, I could just guess. You’ve already held a wedding in your hometown, so I assumed you would soon have another one in New Zealand.”

Wang Bo laughed, “You guessed correctly.”

“This is a wedding gift prepared by IKEA for you. Obviously, it couldn’t be delivered on the wedding day itself. That’s the only thing we regret,” Rosemary said.

Wang Bo replied, “No matter when such a gift arrives, it will never feel regrettable!”

Rosemary’s call had come after Terrence’s explanation; when the lights were turned on earlier, Terrence had called her.

Next to the main hall was a grand reception hall. Here, the dining room and several smaller halls had been expanded. Including the main hall, it could host a dinner for a thousand people or a cocktail party for two thousand.

The dining room could also be isolated. With the press of a button, it would be surrounded by modern glass walls. After all, only a few people usually dined here. Using the entire reception hall in such cases would feel too empty.

The walls of the main hall were inlaid with fireplaces for winter heating.

These fireplaces were highly advanced. They had multiple channels for air circulation. Once lit, the entire wall would warm up.

Terrence explained, “This uses a wind-heating system more advanced than hydronic heating. It’s a bit like the old transition from water-cooled machine guns to air-cooled ones, only in reverse.”

Wang Bo nodded. “That’s great. So it will be very warm in winter?”

“Of course.”

Upstairs, there was still a living room, mainly for distinguished guests. It had huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the green hills behind the castle and a bird’s-eye view of Lake Haweya to the west.

Accessing the upper floors was via stairs, but the castle also had an elevator for quick travel.

Besides comfort, modern entertainment was also a focus, adding audiovisual experiences that medieval castles lacked.

On the third floor was a cinema decorated in 19th-century style. Eva had overseen the materials; reportedly, the equipment was comparable to Hollywood screening rooms.

There was also a 200-square-meter gym adjacent to a steam room for post-workout relaxation.

The previously unused fourth floor had been redecorated as a private library—a domed structure with a skylight that adjusted indoor lighting according to the weather outside.

Wang Bo hadn’t collected any art or antiques yet, but he likely would in the future. Globally, the wealthy tend to collect to showcase their taste.

The residential area was simple: six bedrooms and a nanny’s room on the third floor, connected to a four-car garage.

The castle had many basements, all remodeled. Medieval storage rooms, dungeons, and treasure rooms were no longer needed.

One storage room became a garage with a lift for cars, and another became a music room for the children. Eva had already bought a grand piano, so the little ones would surely learn to play.

The attic was converted into a massive swimming pool with an underwater music system. The pool floor featured animal fossil patterns. Wang Bo could add freshwater corals for decoration.

The outer courtyard was creatively remodeled into sports fields instead of a golf course. A golf course would require uneven terrain and excessive movement, so Wang Bo opted for basketball, small soccer, and tennis courts.

This also allowed the sports field to be used in conjunction with the banquet hall. With too many wedding guests, some would naturally spill over into the sports area.

After touring the castle, Wang Bo saw that aside from the exterior, everything inside had changed. He was very satisfied with the decoration. Little Wang and Zhuang Ding were also pleased, and the little ones couldn’t wait to mark their territory.

“Sh*t, this is your territory—stop peeing!” Wang Bo shouted in frustration.

The furry kids glanced back, then ignored him, continuing their determined territorial claims.

The snow fox had a small bladder. After peeing a little, it ran to the fountain to drink, wagging its tail enthusiastically.

Er Pang silently approached, lifted a paw, and swatted it into the fountain.

The snow fox hated baths, let alone swimming. Once in the water, it fluffed up its fur, squealed, and scrambled out, baring its teeth at Er Pang.

Seeing it dare to show its fangs, Er Pang pounced immediately to teach the little one a lesson.

Wang Bo had no choice but to go with Eva to separate them.
