HLM -Chapter 1324 Fierce Hunt for the Cute Ones

Happy Little Mayor 6 min read 1324 of 1443 7

Wang Bo decided to use a rather clumsy method: he would lead his idle, troublemaking little beasts on a mission to hunt weasels.

Around noon, he returned to the castle. At that time, the little Rottweiler kids were vigorously attacking their godfather Zhuang Ding. It was unclear whether Zhuang Ding was training them to hunt or just playing with them, but he was definitely teaching them something.

Seeing Wang Bo, the little girl giggled and reached out her hands. Her smiling faces melted Wang Bo’s heart. He hurried over, scooped her up, and said, “Come on, daddy’s got you, daddy’s got you, daddy’s hugging his little daughter.”

The little girl squealed “Ah ah” and patted his face with her soft little hands, no longer crying at the sight of him.

“Back so early today? Missing your daughter, huh?” Mother Bo asked.

Wang Bo cleared his throat. “Of course I miss her, but I also have other things to take care of today. Here, Mom, you hold the baby. I need to take these little troublemakers out for some work.”

He whistled, and a group of the little beasts immediately ran over.

Zhuang Ding, leading the little rottweiler kids, was the fastest. Little Wang, as usual, tumbled because he couldn’t stop in time, while the Fat Cat brothers peeked lazily from the window, and the Princess lounged in the shade, not moving at all.

Wang Bo wasn’t even annoyed. The Commander, that sycophant, shouted angrily: “Ah, Fatty, behave! Don’t touch the Princess!”

Wang Bo grabbed the Fat Cat brothers and the Princess’s food bowls and threw them to the ground. The bowls clanged loudly. Hearing the noise, the Fat Cat brothers and the Princess immediately jumped up and ran as fast as they could, thinking there was food.

But when they saw the bowls were empty, they realized they’d been tricked and turned to escape. Wang Bo wasn’t about to let that happen. He grabbed the Fat Cat brothers with both hands, and when the Princess tried to flee, Da Pang dashed over and sent her tumbling.

Da Pang growled in displeasure, clearly unhappy about being thrown like a punching bag. Wang Bo glared at him: “Stop whining, we’ve got serious business!”

Da Pang immediately deflated and joined the group reluctantly.

Wang Bo stuffed these little beasts into the Predator vehicle and waved at the sky. Along the way, he waved several more times. By the time they reached the ranch, Little Meng had already flown down, accompanied by a few plump and strong kea parrots.

The kea parrots now respected Little Meng as their leader. With him around, they weren’t bullied. The ranch was teeming with possums and rabbits, and the parrots thrived, their feathers much more vibrant than when they first arrived, gleaming in the sunlight.

Wang Bo patted one parrot on the head. “Good news, you mischievous birds. Your menu is about to get more exciting.”

The kea parrots were aggressive—they would even attack sheep, let alone small weasels. But they were lazy. When there were rabbits and rodents near the woods, they wouldn’t bother flying far to hunt.

Seeing Wang Bo reaching out, one parrot retreated unhappily. Little Meng immediately flew over, grabbed it by the neck with his claws, pressed it against the hood, eyes stern. The kea squawked in fear. After Little Meng released it, he kept a vigilant watch, allowing Wang Bo to pat its head safely.

The Commander scoffed: “Ah, so dumb… mute.” The Political Commissar flapped his wings, giving the kea a disdainful look—a big brother looking down on his little brothers. Little Meng considered himself the elder brother here.

Wang Bo gathered the “princes” together, then called the staff at the cabin at the foot of the mountain to bring the rural dogs over. Soon, a large group of fierce beasts assembled in front of him.

About thirty adult dogs crowded together, naturally creating chaos.

The princes struck first. Seeing their younger siblings rolling and playing, they immediately pounced: “How dare these little ones enter our territory without greeting us? Time for a lesson!”

The princes were full-grown dogs, while the little rottweiler kids were still half-grown pups. A single clash and all the Ro kids were pinned down.

Held down by their older siblings, the little rottweiler kids struggled in vain. Their strength was too small to fight back, so they could only howl pitifully.

Seeing his godchildren being bullied, Zhuang Ding dashed forward like an arrow, knocking over four or five princes. The little rottweiler kids finally managed to get up and, following their godfather, attacked the older siblings.

The rural dogs were united. They barked loudly at outsiders, their cries echoing like a rallying horn, throwing the scene into further chaos.

Meanwhile, the Fat Cat brothers twitched, and Little Wang also wanted to join. Wang Bo, irritated, pushed Zhuang Ding aside, corralled the jumping little rottweiler kids, and finally roared at the rural dogs: “Enough barking! Shut up!”

Instantly, the world fell silent.

Visitors at the ranch, seeing so many animals together, hurried over to watch, cameras and phones snapping:

“Wow, look at those liger-dogs, only in Sunset Town!”

“So many Rottweilers! The quality is amazing. In China, such specimens would cost over twenty thousand yuan.”

“That cat is so fat! So cute!”

“You’re clueless. Didn’t check the Sunset Town travel guide? Those aren’t cats, they’re lynxes—stronger than the dogs. One-on-one, they could kill a Rottweiler easily!”

Wang Bo nodded to the visitors, then brought out a cage to show the little beasts the weasel: “Look at this. From now on, your mission is to hunt these.”

The weasel, seeing so many powerful predators, was so terrified it urinated on the spot. When Wang Bo placed it in front of Zhuang Ding, Zhuang Ding bared his teeth, and the weasel fainted instantly, eyes rolling back!

These animals thrived on bullying the weak. Faced with a stronger enemy, they had no choice but to be slaughtered.

Seeing the fainted weasel, Wang Bo lifted it by the tail to show everyone. But just then, the weasel, seemingly dead, flipped with astonishing agility and bit Wang Bo’s finger, drawing blood.

Startled, Wang Bo let go, and the weasel fell to the ground, darting toward the grass.

“Playing dead!” Wang Bo shouted in frustration.

The weasel moved incredibly fast, like a streak of light across the grass. But even faster were Zhuang Ding, the Fat Cat brothers, and Little Meng, who simultaneously attacked from land and air. Just as the weasel tried to escape, the snow fox, leaving a white afterimage, struck and clamped its jaws precisely on the weasel’s neck.

A perfect hit!
