HLM – Chapter 1062 Basketball King Wang Bo

If it were just this guy and Eva together, Wang Bo wouldn’t have cared. It would have been fine—this proved Eva had charm, and he had no right to deprive other men of admiring her.

But under Su Dongdong’s guidance, he looked toward the basketball court and saw several tall guys laughing and pointing over the fence toward Eva.

Seeing this, Wang Bo immediately understood. That guy, Wang Pengjie, wasn’t merely admiring Eva. He had probably made some bet with his buddies and was teasing her for fun.

Wang Bo had thought about doing such things in college too—but only in thought. They weren’t afraid of doing crude stuff; they just didn’t want to.

Now, seeing this, Wang Bo felt a spark of anger.

Li Xing clenched his fists. “Go deal with them?”

Wang Bo looked at the jerseys they were wearing and the basketball at their feet, and sneered. “No, these guys are here to play basketball. Let’s go play with them.”

Li Xing froze. “Really play? Your basketball skills… I remember when you first started college, you got handled by a few athletes.”

Wang Bo replied, “Exactly. So this time, it’s revenge.”

Na Qingyang had seen Wang Bo’s prowess on the court before and laughed. “So the three of us then?”

Su Dongdong eagerly chimed in: “I’ll go in. With Wang Bo’s beast-level physique, it’ll be fun to crush them.”

Handsome Wang Pengjie was still trying to charm Eva. Wang Bo glanced over, saw someone bouncing a ball nearby, snatched it, and hurled it toward Wang Pengjie.

He aimed deliberately—Wang Pengjie was busy showering Eva with attention, completely unprepared for this.

The ball hit him squarely on the back with a loud thwack. Startled, Wang Pengjie instinctively turned and shouted, “What the hell?!”

The guy who had his ball stolen looked completely stunned. Wang Bo casually walked over, eyes slightly narrowed, speaking in a cocky tone: “Oh, nothing. My friend passed me the ball wrong and it hit you.”

Wang Pengjie, wanting to show gentlemanly charm in front of Eva, hadn’t been pursuing her aggressively. He frowned: “If you can’t even catch a ball, don’t play. Embarrassing, isn’t it?”

Now Wang Bo was deliberately stirring trouble. That complaint was fine—but he took it further, his anger flaring instantly: “What did you say? Who can’t play? It’s just basketball! You believe I won’t dunk on you right here?”

Su Dongdong had mentioned that Wang Pengjie was a court tyrant. Usually, he was the one bullying others in basketball. Now being snatched around by Wang Bo, he was a little dumbfounded.

The little princess, seeing Wang Bo lose his temper, imitated him, wriggling in Eva’s arms, claws out, squeaking angrily at Wang Pengjie.

Wang Pengjie felt his dignity threatened. He glared at Wang Bo: “Hey man, what’s your deal? You crazy? Dunk on me? You not afraid of breaking your hand?”

Wang Bo trained daily and lived a stress-free life. Though he didn’t take special care of his appearance, he looked young—maybe 25 or 26, hardly different from many college students.

And today, in a short-sleeve sports T-shirt, he looked even younger.

Seeing Wang Bo deliberately causing trouble—and giving her a knowing look—Eva instantly understood her man’s scheming. She played along: “Basketball? I love this sport! Can you really dunk? That would be so cool!”

Wang Bo pointed at Wang Pengjie, sneering: “Dunking him is like playing around.”

Wang Pengjie’s anger flared: “Alright man, you sure talk a big game…”

“Talking is pointless, let’s handle it on the court. Come on, shall we see if you can back it up?” Wang Bo maintained his condescending stance.

Wang Pengjie laughed in frustration. “Fine, on the court. One-on-one?”

Wang Bo wasn’t good at one-on-one; his ball-handling was weak. Compared to a professional, it would be like giving points away. He needed to play to his strengths.

So he said, “One-on-one is boring. Three-on-three, you dare?”

Wang Pengjie replied, “Sure, three-on-three works. But why not one-on-one? Aren’t you supposed to be great at that?”

“I said, enough talk. Dare to do three-on-three or not?” Wang Bo interrupted impatiently.

Wang Pengjie was cautious. As a skilled player, just looking at Wang Bo’s build and walk, he could tell he didn’t play much basketball. Yet Wang Bo dared to provoke him and suggested three-on-three—he must have confidence in something.

Still, he had to accept. Eva was watching with a smile, and Wang Bo had threatened to dunk on him. Even if an NBA player came, he couldn’t stop a dunk.

Li Xing and Na Qingyang cheerfully walked onto the court. Two of Wang Pengjie’s teammates also joined, clearly underestimating their opponents.

The college court was small, and many spectators came running as soon as a game was about to start. Of course, Eva’s beauty was part of the draw.

Wang Pengjie glanced at Eva, seeing her golden-haired, purple-eyed beauty watching expectantly. He brightened immediately and waved in a gentlemanly manner: “Here, ball’s yours.”

Li Xing didn’t hesitate, passing the ball to Wang Bo. Wang Bo dribbled twice. Wang Pengjie relaxed—just by posture, he could see Wang Bo’s skill level was poor.

He wanted to press, but Na Qingyang moved for the ball. With his solid dribbling—he had organized all their class basketball games—he maneuvered expertly.

Wang Bo casually ran under the basket. Li Xing blocked the defender pressing Na Qingyang. Na Qingyang dribbled sideways, created distance, and jumped for a three-pointer.

Swish! The ball dropped perfectly into the net.

Na Qingyang shrugged with a smile: “Sorry boss, just warming up.”

His love for basketball was genuine. Since Sunset Town got a court, he trained regularly with skilled partners, and his skills improved significantly.

Wang Pengjie, embarrassed at losing the first shot, ordered: “Press harder!”

He immediately noticed the flaws in the opponents’ technique. In college, these professional athletes would have stolen the ball from Li Xing and Na Qingyang, but now their physicality was far beyond college levels. Especially Li Xing—core strength strong, unafraid of contact.

Wang Bo set a screen, then ran to the basket. Na Qingyang used his shoulder to push away a defender, grabbed the ball, and lobbed it under the basket.

Wang Pengjie had followed Wang Bo into the paint. Wang Bo caught the ball, and Wang Pengjie positioned himself behind, grinning and preparing to block.

Wang Bo received the ball, pivoted, and without a running start, stomped his feet hard and rocketed skyward like a missile!
