Going around the concert hall was the teaching building. When Lin Hao and Wu Xiaozhou entered the building, they discovered that many students were gathered around looking at the notices posted on the wall. The two quickly squeezed their way over.
Keyboard Group, Piano Major, First Year Class Three, Lin Hao.
Lin Hao finally found his own name. He thought to himself that Director Fan was actually quite reliable. It seemed that before he and Wu Xiaozhou had even completed the transfer procedures, he had already submitted both of their names.
Electronic Music Group, Electric Bass Major, First Year Class Five, Wu Xiaozhou.
Wu Xiaozhou also found his name. Looking closer, he suddenly cursed inwardly.
Damn, that Wan Yong guy was actually in the same class as him!
He pushed his way out of the crowd and said, “Don’t you think this is a coincidence?”
Lin Hao asked, “A coincidence about what?”
“Wan Yong is actually in the same class as me!”
Lin Hao laughed. “Perfect. This time you’ll have something to do!”
Wu Xiaozhou clenched his two big fists, making a series of cracking sounds. He put on a fierce grin and said, “Kid, let’s see where you can run this time!”
Wu Xiaozhou suddenly thought of a question and asked Lin Hao, “Why are there groups? What does that mean?”
Lin Hao had looked up some related information online before, so he explained, “Our school is a comprehensive art school, so all music majors are under one department. If this were a music academy, the groups we have now would actually be called departments.”
Wu Xiaozhou scratched his head. “I don’t understand!”
“Idiot.” Lin Hao explained again, “For example, the orchestral group would be called the orchestral department in a music academy. The keyboard group would be the piano department, and so on.”
Wu Xiaozhou had a look of sudden realization. He nodded and said, “I kind of understand, I kind of understand!”
Lin Hao rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Let’s go. We’ll check out our classes and get to know our counselor.”
Wu Xiaozhou asked again, “Don’t we have a homeroom teacher?”
As Lin Hao walked upstairs, he explained, “What have you been doing online every day? Universities don’t have a position called homeroom teacher. They’re all called counselors. The counselor’s job includes the responsibilities of a homeroom teacher.”
“Hey, why are you following me?” Lin Hao shouted when he saw Wu Xiaozhou following him toward the second floor.
Wu Xiaozhou asked, “Aren’t we going to the classroom?”
“Bro, are we in the same class?” Lin Hao was speechless.
“Yes, I’m in Class Five, but where is Class Five?” Wu Xiaozhou looked completely confused.
“Didn’t you see the classroom location on the notice just now?”
Wu Xiaozhou shook his head. “Didn’t look!”
“Go look!” Lin Hao shouted angrily, frightening Wu Xiaozhou into immediately running downstairs.
Lin Hao laughed helplessly. This guy was such a pig!
Lin Hao walked into his classroom, but there was no one inside. Judging from the desks and chairs, there should be more than forty seats.
There wasn’t much to see in the classroom. It was almost the same as when he was in his final year of high school.
He turned and walked out of the classroom, and a slightly overweight, fair-skinned male teacher in his thirties walked toward him.
“Hello, teacher!” Lin Hao slightly bowed and greeted him.
“Oh, from Class Three? What’s your name?” The male teacher seemed somewhat absent-minded, as if his thoughts were somewhere else.
“My name is Lin Hao.”
“Oh!” The male teacher responded with an “oh,” and the two continued walking forward.
Suddenly, he stopped and turned around, asking, “You’re Lin Hao?”
Lin Hao was startled. He quickly turned around as well. Not knowing why the teacher reacted this way, he could only nod.
A smile spread across the male teacher’s face. “My surname is Wu. I’m the counselor for your keyboard group!”
“Hello, Teacher Wu!”
“Mm, mm. Have you already gotten your meal card and everything?” Teacher Wu had both hands behind his back. His chubby, round face looked kind and approachable.
“Yesterday, I completed it over at the Fine Arts Department!”
“Good, good. The registration works across departments, but you can just eat at our department’s cafeteria. The food over at the Fine Arts Department isn’t as good as ours!”
“Thank you, Teacher Wu!” Lin Hao found it a little strange. This person sure was quite talkative!
Then he thought about it again. He probably already knew that Director Fan had taken him in as a student. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be treating him with this attitude.
“Military training starts tomorrow. Be at the class on time at seven. Every class has to gather together and go to the field.”
“Okay, goodbye, Teacher Wu!” Lin Hao smiled and nodded.
Watching Lin Hao’s thin figure from behind, Wu Shanliang narrowed his eyes, one hand rubbing his bald chin.
Judging by this kid’s clothes and appearance, his family conditions seemed pretty poor! Could he be pretending to be weak while actually being powerful? Rich people like to play this kind of game now?
Old Fan the “Tiger” hadn’t taken in freshmen for several years. What kind of impulse was this?
Strange!
Really strange!
When Lin Hao went downstairs, he saw several beautiful girls who were very pleasing to the eyes—long hair fluttering and faint fragrances drifting around them.
He sighed inwardly. The Music Department really was good. The quality was just high. He wondered what the Dance Department looked like.
After leaving the building, he immediately saw Wu Xiaozhou squatting not far away smoking. He was drooling as he stared at the legs of a girl in a denim skirt in the distance.
Lin Hao was also attracted by those legs. Although the girl wasn’t very tall, the proportions between her legs and body were just right, and they were very smooth and fair…
“Hey! Hello!”
A sweet voice suddenly sounded. Lin Hao hurriedly raised his head, and the girl was already standing in front of him.
Lin Hao thought to himself: No wonder these legs kept getting closer and closer!
“Ah, hello, hello!” Lin Hao quickly pulled his gaze away and greeted her. “Eh, aren’t you…?”
This girl was the oval-faced girl who had sung sweet songs on the train. It was just that she had been wearing a white dress back then, so he hadn’t noticed that her legs were actually this beautiful.
“Hello, my name is Bai Zhitao! First class of the Vocal Music major!” The girl extended her hand, confident and generous.
Lin Hao shook her hand briefly and then let go. Her small hand was white and delicate, and holding it felt quite comfortable.
“My name is Lin Hao, Piano major, Class Three.”
“You sing so well, how did you end up in the Piano major?”
“Piano is my actual major. Singing is just a hobby.”
“Even your hobby is this good at singing. Are you leaving us professionals any way to survive?” Bai Zhitao giggled.
Wu Xiaozhou threw away his cigarette and hurried over. “Hello, my name is Wu Xiaozhou, Electric Bass major, Class Five!”
After saying that, he stretched out both of his big hands and grabbed her delicate little hand.
Bai Zhitao’s face turned slightly red. She tried to pull away gently, but Wu Xiaozhou still didn’t let go. He asked, “You haven’t introduced yourself yet!”
Bai Zhitao said with a pout, “We’re standing so close. Didn’t you hear when I introduced myself just now?”
After saying that, she forcefully pulled her hand back and shook her wrist twice, as if it had been squeezed painfully.
Wu Xiaozhou had been completely distracted by her two long white legs, so he really hadn’t heard clearly.
He chuckled awkwardly. Bai Zhitao waved at the two of them.
“We’ll talk again when we have time. I’m going back to the dorm!”
Watching those two fair and beautiful legs move farther and farther away, Lin Hao and Wu Xiaozhou looked at each other and said at the same time:
“Really white!”
The two of them walked toward the dormitory. Lin Hao asked him, “Did you see the counselor?”
Wu Xiaozhou shook his head. “Not even a trace of him. There wasn’t a single person in the classroom!”
“Didn’t you see that Wan Yong guy?”
“No, I didn’t. I didn’t see that kid either!” Wu Xiaozhou was also a little puzzled.
The corridor was noisy and chaotic. Some people were wearing only big shorts, bare-chested, running around between the dorm rooms.
Neither of them knew anyone. When they reached the innermost room, 428, Lin Hao was just about to take out his key when he realized the door was slightly open.
