“Victoria’s Secret…” Sun Desheng smiled as he looked at the monk Shangshan.

After a pause, he continued, “We’ll arrange a Victoria’s Secret poolside special for you, Buddha. You can even go backstage and take photos with them…”

“Deal.” The monk laughed heartily. Then he turned to the restaurant manager behind him.

“What are you waiting for? Call people in and order the food. Bring me the menu.”

He glanced at it and said, “Recently I’ve been copying scriptures—no meat for me. Keep it light… but bring me one of everything seafood. And the wagyu beef too… I can’t stand seeing this kind of thing, little calves raised so hard only to be slaughtered with one cut. Namo Amitabha… still, one of everything.”

He pointed further down the menu.

“And caviar, foie gras… forget it, just bring the whole menu.”

While Shangshan was ordering, Wu Rendi glanced sideways at Sun Desheng.

“Fatty, aren’t you forgetting to tell me something?”

Sun Desheng chuckled and leaned in. “Isn’t this a return invitation for you? My wife and I alone eating is boring, so I invited some old friends. Old Huang is easy, but the monk’s appearance fee needed negotiation. As long as you’re happy, money doesn’t matter…”

Zhang Zhiyan tried to interrupt, but Huang Ran quietly signaled him not to speak. There was no benefit in offending Sun Desheng.

Wu Rendi didn’t really believe Sun Desheng, but he didn’t care either. He was certain Sun Desheng wouldn’t dare harm him. Most likely, this was just using him as a “town talisman” to intimidate others.

He decided not to argue—for the sake of Shao Yiyi and the child.

Soon, the dishes began to arrive.

Seeing the lavish seafood spread, Shangshan finally stopped talking and started eating. He grabbed a piece of sea cucumber and stuffed it into his mouth.

It was too hot.

His eyes even teared up, but he still swallowed it down.

“Too bland… too bland!” he complained. “Didn’t I tell you? Salt! More salt! Did you save the salt money to buy houses?”

Huang Ran quickly called the manager over. They remade the dishes with extra seasoning.

The chef hesitated and whispered, “Boss Huang, we really can’t add more salt. It’s already borderline inedible…”

Huang Ran dipped a finger in the soup, tasted it, and nearly rolled his eyes from the saltiness—but still said:

“Too bland. Add more salt. And serve soy sauce on the side.”

Since Huang Ran was part-owner, the manager had no choice but to comply.

Soon, the dishes were remade.

Sun Desheng’s daughter secretly tasted one bite—and immediately burst into tears from the salt.

Coughing and crying, she looked pitiful.

Since the child carried Wu Rendi’s bloodline, the white-haired man frowned slightly, but did not act because of the monk’s presence.

But Shen La couldn’t tolerate it. He quickly picked the girl up.

He also tried a bite himself—and immediately gagged.

“This is basically poison made of salt… you’re trying to salt people to death? That hit my brain directly—my skull almost cracked from the salt. Feed it to seals instead…”

“Even seals couldn’t eat this!” Sun Desheng spat it out after trying.

“This much salt needs to be served with blood pressure medicine! Old Huang, your chef’s skills are terrible—did his master teach him wrong?”

“I think it tastes pretty good,” Shangshan said calmly.

He finished a bowl of shark fin soup and wiped his mouth.

“Now this has flavor. Where’s the pickled vegetables? Who told you to wash them and stir-fry them with pork? Such a waste. Take them back, wash them in soy sauce, then add two pounds of salt. Stir until it crystallizes—until salt flowers appear.”

“Salt flowers…?” Che Qianzi finally couldn’t hold back anymore.

He pointed at the monk and cursed.

“Old salted-meat monk, why don’t you just make it salt candy?! You planning to turn yourself into cured meat? When you die, you can just be sun-dried ham. Put you together with fresh pork and bamboo shoots and you’ve got ‘Yan Du Xian’!”

Shangshan frowned.

“Kid, who are you calling salted meat?”

Meng Qiqi finally snapped.

She jumped onto the table and lunged at Che Qianzi.

She kicked a bottle of wine toward him, then followed immediately, tackling him to the ground and punching down wildly.

What started as a few words escalated instantly into chaos.

No one expected her to be the first to strike.

And no one knew why—but since the afternoon, Meng Qiqi had been acting strange. After answering a mysterious phone call at noon, she had become aggressive and irritable, snapping at everyone.

Now she fought like she was facing a mortal enemy, scratching and hitting without restraint, leaving blood streaks across Che Qianzi’s face.

The Taoist could only raise his arms to protect his face—he refused to hit a woman.

Meanwhile, Sun Desheng tried to pull Meng Qiqi away—but Zhang Zhiyan rushed in and shoved him, and the two started fighting again.

Shao Yiyi held her child and didn’t dare intervene.

She hurried to Shen La.

“Shen La, help pull them apart—something’s wrong with Meng Qiqi… she’s gone crazy!”

“Alright.”

Shen La stepped in and restrained Zhang Zhiyan together with Sun Desheng.

Huang Ran’s face immediately turned awkward.

“Boss Sun, what do you mean by this? Is this what you invited us here for?”

Sun Desheng was also angry now.

“Old Huang, she was the one who started it! My brother didn’t provoke anyone—he got scratched for no reason! If his father saw this, wouldn’t he feel bad?”

Hearing this, Meng Qiqi suddenly burst into loud crying.

While crying, she kept slapping Che Qianzi’s face, though his arms blocked most of it.

Shao Yiyi finally turned to Wu Rendi.

“Uncle Wu, please help! Pull Che Qianzi away—Meng Qiqi has gone crazy! He can’t take this kind of beating…”

Wu Rendi originally intended to just watch the show.

But now that he was directly asked, he couldn’t ignore it.

However, he also had a strange concern in his heart about Meng Qiqi—and didn’t want to hurt her.

He walked behind her and said calmly:

“Enough. Give me some face…”

Before he could finish, Meng Qiqi suddenly snapped around and slapped him hard.

Through tears, she shouted:

“How can you face me?!”

On her finger was a hexagonal ring.

The slap struck Wu Rendi’s face.

A faint cut appeared—just a small scratch.
