The original owner had an associate’s degree, which practically everyone in the company knew.
He was spoiled too much as a child, only caring about playing hard every day. When he did badly in the college entrance exams, Dad Qi wanted to send him abroad. But he was in his rebellious stage and refused his family’s good intentions, bent on taking his own course by going to a technical college.
But who says that students from technical colleges are inevitably bad at studying? Qi Xingchen felt a little uncomfortable after hearing what was said, ignoring Zhou Yu and looking over Little Tie’s questions.
Then he grabbed a pen and paper: “Little Tie, your reasoning in solving the question is off. This function……”
All people had a desire for knowledge. When the following shot assistant saw Little Tie’s homework, he was particularly curious about how to solve it. Now, seeing Qi Xingchen’s clear logic, he couldn’t help but be drawn over by him.
The cameraman, who rarely saw scenes of celebrities doing homework, also stretched his neck over to look. When he had finished explaining one question, Qi Xingchen wrote a few strokes on the paper, “Hence, the answer is…… What are all of you looking at me for?”
“Wah, Xingxing, you still remember the questions from junior high school?” The following shot assistant was curious.
“Isn’t this the most basic of functions?” Qi Xingchen said, “how can I learn advanced maths if I forget it?”
Hearing the two words advanced maths, the following shot assistant jumped three feet high, as if his tail had been stepped on: “Xingxing, you even learnt to understand advanced maths?!!”
Qi Xingchen: “……”
He was currently studying in a Top 10 university in China, what was so hard about advanced maths?
However, in order not to ruin the original owner’s “technical” persona, Qi Xingchen did not reply. After explaining to Little Tie the steps to solving the problem once more, he asked, “The answer to this question is not important; what’s important is the reasoning behind solving the question. Have you memorised the reasoning yet?”
Little Tie scratched his head: “Xingxing-ge, I still have to think through it more.”
Inherent logic was not something that can be corrected right away, and Qi Xingchen nodded his head.
“Then Xingxing-ge,” Little Iron was cautious and solemn, “if I have questions I don’t know how to solve, can I still ask you?”
“Sure, I’m staying at Zeng’s house, you can come and see me anytime.”
“Then my…… If there is anything my classmates don’t understand, can they also ask you?”
How many children could there be in a village? Qi Xingchen waved his hand nonchalantly, “Bring it on!”
After dealing with Little Tie’s homework, the flow of customers at the market gradually increased. Everyone got down to business and started helping Old Tie sell his goods.
Unlike the shopping malls in the city, the market in Niuben village was out in the open. The long, cross-shaped street was lined from end to end with stalls selling anything one can think of, from hair ties and snacks to machinery and farming equipment.
The market was open for business once a week; many of the small traders who make a living from selling goods, who would be waiting for this day to earn enough money for their families to survive, were already shouting at the top of their lungs.
The seven guests had never sold anything before; they didn’t know what to do for a while before following the example of the uncle selling melons next to them and shouted.
But after a period of shouting, there were some customers who felt it was a fresh experience seeing so many people selling goods, and bought a few to give face; afterwards, there were no more results.
Qi Xingchen thought over it and felt that it would not do if they continued with this, they would definitely fail the mission. So he shoved the iron ladle in his hand to Zhang Yunfei, “Yunfei-ge, persevere for a bit, I’ll go walk around.”
“We are strangers in an unfamiliar land, don’t go by yourself,” Zhang Yunfei subtly sensed that Zhou Yu and Qi Xingchen did not get along with each other, and said to Bo Ye, “Little Bo, go and accompany Xingxing bah.”
Bo Ye also felt uneasy about letting the little fan walk alone; after all, this was a master at not saying a word even when his hand or back was injured. Lifting his long legs, he led the way, heading toward the other end of the market.
Qi Xingchen could only follow after closely.
Not long after they left, Qi Xingchen began to feel regret — why did he let Bo Ye follow him, wasn’t this asking for trouble?
All he saw was: on the entire street, every single female that walked past Bo Ye, from the 70-year-old elderly woman to the 3-year-old little girl, had their eyes glued to him. This was accompanied by compliments along the lines of “this young man is so handsome”, “da–gege looks really good”, “Ahhhhh how handsome, eh why does he look so familiar”, and so on.
Fortunately, Bo Ye’s top-traffic idol identity was too different from the identity of a youth that was roaming about a market, and no one had dared to recognise him so far. Qi Xingchen immediately fished out a pair of sunglasses from his backpack, “Put this on.”
“En?”
“Do you wish to be on the social news tomorrow?” Qi Xingchen puffed out his chest and imitated the newscaster’s tone, “Yesterday, a serious stampede occurred in Niuben town. After investigation, the reason for the accident was connected to the idol Bo Ye taking a walk, leading to females falling over each other in their eagerness to have a glimpse of his handsome face which then caused……”
“……Alright, don’t say any more,” Bo Ye pursed his lips, “I’ll wear it.”
When he turned his head to take the sunglasses as he spoke, the thin tails of his eyes raised in a very good-looking arc, and his jawline was taut, obviously holding back a smile.
Qi Xingchen’s first reaction: F*ck f*ck f*ck he’s so freaking handsome!!!
Second reaction: Can’t let him smile. If he smiles, wouldn’t these women will go even crazier?!
